"...According to the Federal Election Commission, Foreign nationals are prohibited from making any contributions or expenditures in connection with any election in the U.S. Please note, however, that green card holders (i.e., individuals lawfully admitted for permanent residence in the U.S.) are not considered foreign nationals and, as a result, may contribute. However, as the Sunlight Foundation noted, donors at the foreign events were presumably U.S. citizens living outside the U.S. "...A spokesperson for the Sunshine Foundation told TheBlaze that while the Romney and Obama campaigns both held fundraisers overseas in 2012, the Clinton campaign was, to the best of the watchdogs knowledge, the only one [in the 2016 cycle] to hold a fundraiser in a foreign country."
calfoxwc Posted March 18, 2016 Author Report Posted March 18, 2016 http://sunlightfoundation.com/blog/2016/03/17/hillary-clinton-campaign-totals-13-fundraisers-in-foreign-countries/ Overseas fundraisers are relatively common for leading presidential candidates, but hosting over a dozen events before spring illustrates the vast reach of Clinton’s fundraising machine. By comparison, according to Party Time, no other presidential candidate has any official overseas fundraisers to his/her name. check out the slide show... gftChris Posted March 18, 2016 Report Posted March 18, 2016 So just to clarify, she's done nothing wrong?
jbluhm86 Posted March 18, 2016 Report Posted March 18, 2016 So just to clarify, she's done nothing wrong? Nope. At least in this example.
jrb12711 Posted March 18, 2016 Report Posted March 18, 2016 So just to clarify, she's done nothing wrong? Being liberal is what she did wrong, don't you get it! The world's on fire!
Westside Steve Posted March 18, 2016 Report Posted March 18, 2016 So just to clarify, she's done nothing wrong? Doesn't look like it. Of course that doesn't stop politicians does it? I just saw a series of smear ads complaining that Donald Trump uses foreign workers at his Casino. They made it sound like they were illegals but they are all documented comma just like the ones we use in the summertime at Put-In-Bay. They sign up for a work program and come over for x amount of time. WSS
