Heck, you DO understand what it means to own a gun, don't you?

If not, just say no to trying to be what you think you are cause you're NOT.

I well understand a ban on automatic weapons, that doesn't alarm me.

But the tweaking and twisting of words like "It depends on what "is" is"...

is just a liar's way of getting around the truth.

Actually Cal, if the constitution really means anything these days (and I really don't think it does) the intent was that the citizens could take up arms should the government get out of control. If farmer Jones had a cannon in the barn so be it.

That's what happened when the founders had their "tra parties."

But to only allow fairly innocuous weapons means the citizens are actually unarmed should the big boys wish to quell an uprising.

Just a thought.

I'll let you figure out who said this:

" 2. Like most rights, the Second Amendment right is not unlimited.

It is not a right to keep and carry any weapon whatsoever in any

manner whatsoever and for whatever purpose: For example, con-

cealed weapons prohibitions have been upheld under the Amendment

or state analogues. The Court’s opinion should not be taken to cast

doubt on longstanding prohibitions on the possession of firearms by

felons and the mentally ill, or laws forbidding the carrying of fire-

arms in sensitive places such as schools and government buildings, or

laws imposing conditions and qualifications on the commercial sale of

arms."

Or as Mr. T says, "shall not be infringed" means "no law shall hinder one from owning a firearm."

No, it doesn't.

As I said, and you don't get, the Constitution allows for the regulation of firearms. The phrase "shall not be infringed" does not mean you can't make common sense regulations. It means you can't take away the essential right to keep and bear arms.

As for Steve's bit about the Constitution not meaning anything anymore, once again, I don't know what that means, but it doesn't sound very well-informed.

The Constitution means very specific things, and where there are questions about how we apply those meanings we have these things called courts.

For example, the DC gun ban you brought up was deemed unconstitutional by five of the justices, and constitutional by four of the justices. This is how our system works, whether you get that or not.

Heck, we are not debating being allowed to have Uzi's hidden under our black leather trench coats.

#1. Most Americans don't dress like drug runners.

#2. Having weapons that can be used for major assaults should be restricted.

But, nobody expects to be able to have howitzers etc.

But pistols and semiauto .22 rifles?

Be a man. Stop changing the subject.

They want to take ALL guns away.

Except that they don't. They really don't. And they also can't, because it's unconstitutional.

So don't want to, and couldn't if they did want to.And yet you're still terrified that they are. Against all reason, against all evidence, you're going to lead a fight against a phantom menace.

This is otherwise known as paranoia. Or stupidity. Take your pick.

But again, if you're so certain you can bet me. Tell me all the guns you have now, and then tell me if anyone from the government comes to your house to take any of them.

I'm absolutely positive that they won't.

Does any of this make you feel better, or are you still standing, gun cocked, with your back against the wall, sweating, waiting for the feds to burst through your door like T is?

Why don't you have a cream soda and watch some professional wrestling instead? Take a load off. It's going to be okay.

Obama has SAID he intends to Stalin style "lean" on coal companies with exorbitant fees

to put them out of business.

There is no reason, if Dan and Heck will stop licking Obama's toes and go read what Obama HAS DONE,

and what his people HAVE SAID, that a reasonable person would seriously wonder about the Obammy

admin putting the same economic pressure to intimidate a LOT of gun owners to just give them up.

At least a buyback is optional.

But, Dan and Heck can run their mouths off about it... but do you really want the rest of us to post

a BUNCH of reports about the MILLIONS of Americans buying guns for the same concern?

Dan and Heck, go check it out. It isn't just me, isn't just T, isn't just anybody.

It's legitimate millions of Americans going out to buy guns before this pitiful pres admin

can cross the line of constitutionality on trying to press this issue to the max.

It's the same old thing. Liberals like Heck, Dan, mz the pussy and Shep will refuse to admit

there are problems with restriction of honest, decent gun ownership. It won't stop crime.

All it does is to intimidate the Americans that you never, ever have a problem with.

So, crime and guns doesn't have anything to do with that.

It's left to gun owners to wonder... WHAT THEN is the REASON?

It isn't unreasonable to guess at what the reason is.

Stop "feeling" and parroting. Start thinking.

Nopie, Dan.

I don't regurgitate.

I know what I believe in, and more often than not, conservatives sometimes,

a lot of the time, sometimes, agree with me.

You don't know how many times I've expressed my opinion, only to have somebody

argue with, then I go look up some resouce stuff to back up what I said, and it ends up

that it can be Hannity, or CNN, or Fox, or Mark Levin...

Makes me feel all goosebumply inside.

I'm easily wrong - and not rarely. I don't know many libs who ever admit that.

your accusation is your opionion. You FEEL like you can tell the difference.

Give me credit for being able to be very creative and wrong on my own. I don't need anybody's help in that.

So there. @@

Source: FBI Spied On Tea Party Protesters Nationwide

The FBI were spying on Tea Party protesters nationwide during last week’s demonstrations as part of a covert program conducted without the knowledge of local law enforcement, according to a source named as a current FBI agent.

What a waste of resources time & money. Are own Government is paranoid of patriotic Americans.

Why is that?

Because they are NOT patriotic Americans.

They are elistist socialists and communists.

There are socialists in Congress, and the White House admin that seem

to just want to destroy our system and rebuild it socialist.

Hence, their and Heck's overwhelming paranoia of any criticism whatsoever.

It even started during the election with two Minn. attorneys publicly referring to

consequences and focus on negative (their word: "untrue") news and criticisms of Obama.

But to spy on our tea parties? Right out of Chavez's Venzuala, Stalin and Lenin's Russia,

Mussolini's Italy, and Hitler's Germany.

I wonder if we will have free elections 3.75 years from now.

But, if we dont', Heck will arrogantly think it's just fine, nothing to worry about. "sigh"
