Holt a Jag

We need Tom Tupa

Recommended Posts

The Jacksonville Jaguars have won the AFC South showdown for the services of veteran receiver Torry Holt.

According to Michael C. Wright of the Florida Times-Union, the Jags and Holt agreed to a two-year deal.

Holt, 32, was a top-ten draft pick in 1999.

As Wright points out, the move doesn’t rule out receiver for the Jaguars’ first-round pick, the eighth overall in the entire draft.

The Titans also pursued Holt after he was cut last month by the Rams.

Oh well, there goes my hopes for shoring up the WR dept.

As much as Holt may or may not have left in the tank, this really wasn't the type of player (aging vet) we need in a rebuilding process. Moreover, Holt is in win-now mode, and well, you know..........

We never had a shot at him. The last place he'd go is a cold weather, rebuilding team unsettled on QB.

We would have had to break the bank for him which would be completely Retarded given that we're still paying the price for FA busts like Stallworth and Dexter.
