THE BROWNS BOARD

Trump/Pence to tour flood damaged Louisiana tomorrow.

Bush took a beating from the lib media over Katrina and here is Obama not bothering to show up in Louisiana preferring to be on the golf course. Of course Obama doesn't get hammered over it like the lib media would do if it were a republican president but still a good decision for Trump and Pence to fill the void left by the golfer in chief.

That's partially because seriously what the hell is the president going to do? Whether it's Obama or Bush or Michael Dukakis or JFK standing around looking at devastation and going tsk tsk is virtually meaningless.

It's just a photo op.

It is, but when you're criticising your predecessor for something, you shouldn't be a hypocrite.

Hypocrisy is in the eyes of the beholder or in this case the MSM.

You are correct, one should strive not to be a hypocrite, but still it only goes as far as it gets reported. I'll be surprised to see hundreds of Obama on the golf course images like we saw Dick Cheney and George Bush in the fishing boat.

You're relying on the MSM to inform you of your opinion? I'm confused.

I don't think I was that unclear, sorry if I was. I'm talking about the mood of the nation if something isn't on television a dozen times a day it doesn't have the same effect.

I don't think there's anything Obama could do there except get in the way. Same as Bush during Katrina.

I'm just saying the MSM doesn't care about Obama's part in the floods but they did care about George Bush's part in the floods which are, IMO, negligible.

I remember when James Foley our first American hostage was beheaded by ISIS and our golfer in chief gave a quickie speech (probably had his golf shoes on already) and then a few minutes later he was high fiving on the golf course with his pals.

The Prime minister of England Cameron was also on vacation but because the voice of the ISIS terrorist who beheaded Foley sounded English Cameron immediately cut short his vacay and went back to London.

Yes the lib media did hammer Bush over Katrina...

BIAS ALERT: Media that ripped Bush on Katrina ignores Obama on La. flooding

President George W. Bush was torn to shreds in 2005 by mainstream media commentators for his initial response to Hurricane Katrina – yet President Obama’s detached response to the recent Louisiana floods has been met with resounding silence from those same outlets.

“George Bush doesn’t care about black people” was the shocking charge by singer Kanye West about President Bush’s response to Katrina. West’s was a particularly blunt assessment, but echoed a growing narrative pushed by mainstream media outlets that Bush’s response was out of touch, inept and most of all, he didn’t care about people on the ground.

Much of the media coverage at the time not only criticized Bush for the difficulties the federal government faced in responding to the disaster, but also lambasted him for taking too long to return from vacation and to visit the site on the ground.

OK. I generally agree btw that there's no need for politicians to actually go and do anything, they're contributing literally nothing and just getting in the way.

With our biased liberal MSM it isn't (usually) that they outright lie. Most of the time it is what they fail to report and the slant of the story. The headlines usually give them away. There are two sides to a story and they only see the liberal point of view. Most journalists are liberals, graduates from liberal journalist schools with liberal professors, and their bias is both conscious and probably sometimes even sub conscious but the liberal bias is there and those in denial are not being honest.

I would imagine that would be a better option than handing a pile of cash to Louisiana politicians.

lmao... I see you've been to Louisiana...

Obama’s Hypocrisy On Full Display as He Golfs While Louisiana Drowns

For all his faults, at least Bush made efforts to show up when the south was hit hard by Katrina. He even landed in Biloxi Mississippi two days after the flyover in Louisiana to meet with victims of the flooding.

Not so with Obama. You won't hear a peep out of the media that had put Bush through the ringer for not actually grabbing a bucket and bailing water out of the state. Bush was accused of all sorts of nasty things, including once little bit from Kanye West, saying Bush didn't care about black people.

So I guess now we get to the ask the question. Does Obama care about black people?

that was just more media and leftwing feigned "offense" for political posturing purposes.

and now, covering up and ignoring the same kind of disaster.

Great optics for Trump and smart political move to go to Louisiana. Trump stole the day here while Obama is on the golf course and Clinton also a no show (resting her tired bones)...

Trump had a good week this week. Kelly Ann Conway might be able to keep Trump on message and keep from stepping on his own message.

I liked Manafort but his Russian connection problems would have been a distraction the rest of the way and glad he bowed out. The MSM would have spent way too much time on Manafort...as they do with anything else to keep from reporting any bad news on Clinton.

I am back to guarded optimism Trump can win. He has gotten better with the teleprompter and using a teleprompter keeps him focused and on message.

No delusion Trump can win in a landslide but those swing states that turned against him I can see him winning them back...
