TopDawg31
There is probably a dozen teams carrying two punters right now, and they've got to release one by 4 PM tomorrow. And we're going to grab the best one. for free. Because that's where you get punters ... free. 4th round pick for 34 year old punter ... Winning. Zombo Nailed that one. Mudfly
Right....now, if the Browns can only break the 55 year trend of not scoring a good player with a 4th round pick(not a single one).....We've drafted exactly 1 starter in the 4th over the last 55 years(Benji)....and we just let him walk, cause he really wasnt that good......so, there's that..... Thats right....55 years and not one "solid" starter from the 4th......weird, eh? So...while we are jumping for joy due to the "brilliant" maneuver of getting a 4th for a Pro-Bowl punter....lets get real too....why so much joy over a pick that has NEVER improved this team.....?? Jordan Cameron Anthony Henry Wali Rainer Brian Brennan Some serviceable guys who started for awhile. But yes, you are correct, it has not been our round. Who cares if we did not draft a gem in the 4th round 30 years ago? 20 years ago? 10 years ago? Hell, 3 years ago? Because at the end of the day, it's a completely different regime. History does not matter when its different people writing it.

I get that its a different regime....but that doesnt tell me they will hit, when we've missed 55 times in a row.... At this point, with them tanking the season, I got no issue with the trade.....Im just saying temper your excitement over a fourth....it's not like its a lock that the new regime will score a better player with it....just a younger one..... Orion
Hell, if they can nail a first rounder you can color me impressed. Right! (our guys haven't been qualified to be drafting in round one - jury still out on our latest rendition of drafters) ...Andy Lee...punts the ball high and far....but he doesn't seem to enjoy playing tackle football. He's better suited for flag football. Below is Lanning from 2014 and Lee from 2015. And Lanning could kick field goals if needed. And he'd tackle with his face if he had to.
