Who has best Backup QBs

Lots of talk lately about Backup QBs. All teams should need a good one all things considered (or...just one thing considered....injury). Here are the league back up QBs. Who has the best? You can rank them individually, or in groupings (or, if you think the backup is better than the starter...say so):

AFCEast

Pats: Jacoby Brissett (actual starter...Brady out first 4 games)

Jet: Geno Smith

Dolphins: Matt Moore

Bills: EJ Manuel

AFCNorth

Bengals: AJ McCarron

Ravens: Ryan Mallet

Steelers: Landry Jones

Browns: Josh McCown

AFCSouth

Colts: Scott Tolzien

Texans: Tom Savage

Jags: Chad Henne

Titans: Matt Cassell

AFCWest

Chargers: Kellen Clemons

Raiders: Matt McGloin

Chiefs: Nick Foles

Broncos: Mark Sanchez

NFCEast

Giants: Ryan Nassib

Eagles: Chase Daniels

Cowboys: Jameil Showers #....their backup, Dak Prescott, is now starting

Redskins: Colt McCoy

NFCNorth

Lions: Dan Orlovsky

Bears: Brian Hoyer

Packers: Brett Hundley

Vikings: Joel Stave # ....their backup, Shaun Hill, is now starting

NFCSouth

Falcons: Matt Schaub

Panthers: Derek Anderson

Bucs: Mike Glennon

Saints: Luke McCown

NFCWest

Cards: Drew Stanton

Rams: Jared Goff

49ers: Colin Kaepernick

Seahawks: Trevone Boykin

Give your best and worst.....plus maybe state which teams have the biggest....and smallest talent gap between starter and backup.

My own thoughts:

Top 5 backups:

Nick Foles

Josh McCown

Matt Schaub

Mike Glennon

Colin Kaepernick

Teams with least gap between starter and backup (or where backup might could start):

49ers. Gabbert vs. Kaepernick (despite his off field BS....he probably should be starting.

Eagles. Sam Bradford vs. Chase Daniels. possibly a tossup here

Broncos. Trevor Symien vs. Mark Sanchez.

Bills. Tyrod Taylor vs. EJ Manuel. Not sure how much better Taylor is.

Rams. Case Keenum has hardly proved any more than rookie Goff

Browns. Griffin vs. Josh....we know the story there.

Biggest gap between starter and backup.

Steelers. Ben R. vs. Landry Jones. My my my...it couldn't happen to a better team to lose their starter

Packers. Aaron Rodgers vs. Brett Hundley.

Seahawks. Russell Wilson vs. Trevone Boykin. Boykin unproven rookie

Saints. Drew Brees vs. Luke McCown.

Cards. Carson Palmer vs. Drew Stanton.

Possible addition: When Brady gets back, Pats, Brady vs. Garropolo. Brady one of best ever...Garropolo unproven.

Dolphins: Matt Moore--Adam Case has him playing well

AFCNorth

Steelers: Landry Jones--He Really SUCKS

Browns: Josh McCown

AFCSouth

Texans: Tom Savage--Over a aging McC--Should start someWhere NOW..

AFCWest

Raiders: Matt McGloin--Needs Opportunity

NFCEast

Redskins: Colt McCoy--Keep's Pounding

NFCNorth

NFCSouth

Panthers: Derek Anderson--Aging, but the bitch is accurate

Bucs: Mike Glennon--Will be well overpaid next season

NFCWest

Rams: Jared Goff--Big Money for a Back-up?

Texans- With Savage Healthy he's better than that Donkey Bitch Os-Wilder..Worst--Landry Jones can't beat Tarboro High School :P

Best 6:

  1. Eagles: Chase Daniels - also represents my "closest gap" team
  2. Browns: Josh McCown - a pro's pro...
  3. Rams: Jared Goff - the #1 waiting in the wings as a #2
  4. Texans: Tom Savage - kid looks to be "getting it"
  5. Bengals: AJ McCarron - nice 2015 fill in justified my faith
  6. Panthers: Derek Anderson - matured nicely

Worst 5:
28. Broncos: Mark Sanchez - just should not be this bad... and maybe he isn't...
29. Bills: EJ Manuel - I keep thinking "maybe"; he keeps replying "no"...

30. Vikings: Joel Stave - edge of the precipice...
31. Jets: Geno Smith - no... just no...
32. Steelers: Landry Jones - brings the phrase "hot mess" to mind...

The best division collectively looks to be the NFC South... no studs, but also no duds...

NFCSouth

Falcons: Matt Schaub

Panthers: Derek Anderson

Bucs: Mike Glennon

Saints: Luke McCown

I like the Titans Cassell. Seahawks would have to rely on the Rook Boykin-not a good thing for him or the team.

That's close to mine, maybe the Bengals QB as best of maybe 10 you could put in a hat and pick one.

I do know who will get booed the most on or off the field (hint: CK).

I think your list is on the money other than you have Goff in the wrong group. He's a straight bust.

I think we'll know about Goff by end of the season. Anything short of his being a lock as the Rams' 2017 starter will certainly bring "bust" into the conversation.

Garapolo is the backup and he's e best of the bunch. I see no difference between Tyrod Taylor and EJ Manuel. Dak Prescott was the best coming out in this year's draft. Romo is through, kaput, finished. It's Prescotts team now! And they have a good offensive line and Ezekiel Elliot.

Dez Bryant will do what he does best & run his mouth. Zeke will see blitzes he has never dealt with before..Good Luck with That
