I thought that acquiring four first rounders while being able to keep our 2018-19 first round selections was an epic and masterful move... I guess you disagree...

nobody cares about these unrealistic computer fantasy mocks. If this had even the slightest chance of happening in real life, I'd be pumped, but it doesnt. Maybe these fantasy mocks need their own thread?

Our draft speculation is going to really heat up soon, and it will reach near fever pitch before the actual day gets here. Everybody associated with the Browns understand that this draft might be our most important since our return, and the pressure is undeniable. It's further complicated by the fact we don't have a terrific QB option coming out of college (of course, right??), and our need for a QB has never been more dire. It's an unenviable situation to be in, and we need to knock it out of the park after a less than stellar 2016 draft. I know it takes a couple of years to truly grade a draft, but I don't get the idea that many people are satisfied with how the majority of our rookies played. Let's hope they learn fast and develop faster.

As far as the QB position is concerned, my guess for our future goes something like this: We draft Garrett or Allen at one, and then we take a QB with the #12 pick. If two of the top three QB prospects are taken within the top 7 picks, I could see us trading with Carolina to the #8 pick in order to vault over the Bills, who will also require a QB. Additionally, I see us signing Tyrod Taylor to be the veteran starter and hold it down so our rookie can learn. Tyrod won't set the universe on fire, but I'll take him instantly.

Hopefully we DON'T have to trade with Carolina, thus keeping our bevy of picks. If we don't have to trade, I see the draft going like this: Garrett, Watson/Kizer, DB/S, and OL with our first four picks.

epic and masterful on a computer. While you're at it...why not trade our 2025 6th round pick for Aaron Rodgers. Trade our 2026 7th round pick for Khalil Mack as well. Might as well do these things if we're going to live in fantasy land.

Back at it! I drafted this just a couple minutes ago. Gotta watch a movie with the family then maybe I'll try again! But this was a good run...

Just - STOP. 95% of us don't care.

Again? Give it a freeking rest PG.

Please don't. You are boring us to tears.

How about actually talking about some of the players you would like to draft.

It's a damn computer game that will never happen in reality. The only draft that really matters is the end of April. FWIW, I just fantasized I'm Kevin Costner, and got a date with Jennifer Garner.

I just traded our entire 2018 draft, amazing what I came up with.

Its just stupid. I mean I thought I could perhaps manage a twofer with Megan Fox and Jennifer Lawrence. About as likely as your scenario.

Tour, do you think there's a legit chance that Kizer will be available at the top of the 2nd round?

It could be wishful thinking, but Kizer is the "other" Ohio QB I would like to see in Orange & Brown.

This is actually pretty close to my perfect draft. Even down to Foreman and Switzer.

I don't know if it's unrealistic. The #1 pick can obviously be turned into two first rounders. 12 could be a bit more difficult but not impossible by any means. Will we do it? Who knows.

What position does Watt play in our D? If it's OLB, is drafting him contingent on NOT signing Collins?

If we sign Collins, I don't want to draft any other LBs at all unless it's Foster or a day 3 flier like a Boulware.

Watt is pretty much a consolation prize... I actually think he might look pretty good at MLB... at least in our base 4-3, but if not Kirksey can play the middle for me.

Always interesting to see what the sim does when picking for us... I took BLT... the sim took:

Round 1 Pick 1 (1) Browns: Deshaun Watson, QB, Clemson
Round 1 Pick 12 (12) Browns: Derek Barnett, DE, Tennessee
Round 2 Pick 1 (33) Browns: Sidney Jones, CB, Washington
Round 3 Pick 3 (67) (CHI) Browns: Cooper Kupp, WR, Eastern Washington
Round 3 Pick 5 (69) (TENN) Browns: Marcus Maye, FS, Florida
Round 3 Pick 17 (81) (WASH) Browns: Tyler Orlosky, C, West Virginia
Round 3 Pick 26 (90) (SEA) Browns: Conor McDermott, OT, UCLA
Round 4 Pick 10 (106) (CHI) Browns: Kareem Hunt, RB, Toledo

Basically trade-wise it stood pat thru pick #33 and then went nuts... but landed some good value.

What have you done wrong that you have to be vindicated for? Just about all the rankers have this guy...Barnett.. ranked in like the Top 15 players.

Do you think they are all wrong and only you are right?

More of an ironic kind of comment for going against the 'popular' pick. Or even when my pick isn't the popular one.

Do I think they're all wrong? No, not one bit. Just about all?... yep. After the combine I'm willing to bet Barnetts' draft stock takes a serious hit.

Well, OK, we shall see. I mean, I don't care if we get Derek Barnett, or Dick Barnett (former NBA player), or Dirk Bennett (porn star).

Just do the Casey Stengal thing: Get us someone that can play this game.

Just no to Watson @ #1, Pocic won't go in the first, and Switzer will be long gone by the seventh.

I agree with Gip. if you want to play Fantasy Draft, I'm starting a new thread just for that. This one is already 71 pages. AND I'm closing this thread and starting a new one draft talk #2. Reality only there, talking about prospects, keep the computer games out of it, please .
