ballpeen
http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4101934 RENTON, Wash. -- The Seahawks withdrew the franchise designation from linebacker Leroy Hill after drafting Wake Forest's Aaron Curry with the fourth overall choice. The move, confirmed by the team, makes Hill a free agent. The one-year, $8.3 million franchise offer no longer exists. Hill, a third-round choice in 2005, had refused to sign the offer while attempting to negotiate a lucrative long-term deal. He skipped voluntary minicamp practices recently. JDaWg1000
i would sign him in a heartbeat, but if the rest of magini and kokinus signings are any indication, they wont pay him big money which might be what hes looking for
Oldcrow1945
We certainly have the money since we dropped out of #5 , git er done! We picked up a big contract with Coleman though. I just don't know the details of it.
samoth
Leroy Hill is a stud who is mostly under the radar. Pick him up ASAP.
Geech
We picked up a big contract with Coleman though. I just don't know the details of it. Unfortunately, the unreliable and easily altered Wikipedia is the only place that I could find any contract numbers on Coleman. On March 6, 2007, the Jets signed Coleman to a contract, reportedly worth $20M over five years. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kenyon_Coleman -Al
YtownBrownsBacker
The only thing that matters is how much of it is guaranteed. Could be that a hunk of that contract was in a bonus and he has less then half of the original contract left. Actually that isn't a bad contract to pick up if he ends up a starter and we can dump S. Smith. In any case, the cap hit should be less then $4 mil.
Geech
Rotoworld reports the same contract numbers. http://www.rotoworld.com/content/playerpag...NFL&id=2704 Leroy Hill is a fine player, but at 6'1" 238 lbs., is he really what we're looking for to play on the strong side in a 3-4? -Al

ballpeen
He is NOT a 3-4 OLB. Maybe inside. I don't disagree.
