Earl34
I agree with Leach - Mangini is a jackass. ...and you both obviously know him so well.
calfoxwc
There once was a tot named Tim213, who taunted Browns fans from behind a screen. The Browns' fans paused to see Little Tim look so sad: "YOU'RE A BUNCH OF BROWNS POOPEY-HEADS" said the lad, "AND YOU STINK AND I'LL KICK ALL OF YOUR ASSES" The Browns fans laughed, and said "Have fun in your K-school classes". and while they moved on, Little Tim made a fuss: "YOU All ARE SO MEAN, YOU MADE ME MISS MY BUS!" and he cried, clutching his pink hippopotamus. CLEVELandMILIDH
Harrell Talks About Leach-Mangini Feud Posted by Mike Florio on April 30, 2009, 2:55 p.m. EDT Former Texas Tech quarterback Graham Harrell wasn’t drafted. And he has yet to sign with an NFL team; instead, he’ll merely be participating in this weekend’s rookie camp with the Browns. It’s an interesting arrangement, given that Harrell’s former coach, Mike Leach, recently has taken shots at Harrell’s possible future coach, Eric Mangini. “Michael Crabtree has been more successful as a receiver than that guy as a coach at this point,” Leach said regarding Mangini after Crabtree slid to No. 10 in the draft, possibly due to reports leaked by the Browns that they think Crabtree is a diva. “Coach [Leach] is just supporting his players and wants the best for them,” Harrell recently told Sporting News Radio’s The Monty Show. “I haven’t really heard all the things he’s said . . . I had a friend from Lubbock call me yesterday and say that coach is saying some crazy stuff right now, but that’s just him and he wants the best for his guys and he feels like he’s spent a lot of time with us and wants the best for us. He’s being very supportive and sometimes he does it in interesting ways.” But Leach doesn’t have a problem with it. “It’s nice to have the guy that you spent five years with wanting the best for you and pulling for you and hoping that other people will kind of see what he saw in us,” Harrell said. “And like I said it’s great that he supports us, he just does it in interesting ways and more controversial ways than other people.” It’s definitely controversial, and it’ll be interesting to see if Mangini can make Harrell into an NFL quarterback, given the consensus through seven rounds of the draft that Leach didn’t do enough to prepare Harrell to play at the next level. cestmoi
Lets just go ahead and say F@#* him way to go college coach call out a pro... get a real job and make some real cash Actually Mike Leach makes more 'real cash' than Mangini, sorry. And Texas Tech got better ratings than the Browns last season with their national games. I just joined this site because I hope to see Harrell make your squad eventually, but I had to correct your misconceptions.
Earl34
And Texas Tech got better ratings than the Browns last season with their national games. Of course they did because they had national championship implications. Leach was still out of line because Mangini is not quoted as having said those things about Crabtree. cestmoi
Of course they did because they had national championship implications. Leach was still out of line because Mangini is not quoted as having said those things about Crabtree. True, Mike Leach has never been media savvy. He's the guy who says whatever he thinks, and that is refreshing in a world of Mack 'coachspeak' Browns etc, but he does put his foot in his mouth on occasion. What he said was wrong, but so was the 'diva' talk about Crabtree (I know it wasn't Mangini who said it). Back to bashing Texas Tech ... wtf? Leach has taken a team with a fraction of the resources of the big-time schools and lesser recruiting pull and made it competitive with almost everyone in the country. Yes, we got our asses kicked by OU, but we beat them in 07 when they were trying to get the national title game. Tech has only been getting decent recruiting talent for the last couple years, overall we recruit about 7th in the big12 and are #3 in wins. I can't imagine how anyone could call Leach a bad coach with those kinds of results. Anyway, I hope Harrell eventually gets called up, he is #1 in Texas HS TDs and #1 in NCAA TDs for a reason. Mack actually gives out a lot of credit to other teams (including yours) and information. Now, the begging for votes is not to my taste but he's by FAR not the worst interview. #1 in career TDs? Lupe Rodriguez led the nation in passing TDs his senior year at Mission and look at what a great pro he turned out to be I'm just giving you a hard time. Harrell is the best QB you've had in Lubbock BY FAR since Billy Joe Tolliver (Yes, I'm dating myself).
