Iran-contra was a major scandal. We're just supposed to ignore this now because a dead guy did something 30 years ago?

Of course not. But it just amuses me that some of the conservatives on here can express outrage at this, while at the same time extol the virtues of Reagan, who's administration did pretty much the same thing by funneling arms and money to Iran. Those who are on a Democrat witch hunt should take care to also remember their own party's sins, both past and present, as well .

Was the Contra Affair a scandal, yes? HRC is a scandal. Just because Reagan was involved in one 30 years ago, doesn't mean mean it's okay for the dems and HRC.

Can we all agree, that our current Government, lead by Obama isn't making some of the best decisions for this country? Turning a blind eye to your own parties indiscretions is worse than digging up the past.

 

That's like you confronting your spouse for verifiable evidence that speaks to her cheating on you and she bring's up the fact you kissed another girl 30 years ago in high school.

 

But the liberals will condemn Trump for saying he likes to grab pussy, but turned a blind eye to Clinton when he was in the white house and all the indiscretions he had yet jump on this emotional bandwagon for one chauvinistic comment, that if you are a man, you've said something very similar if not worse behind closed doors to your "buddies' too.

 

I have a horrible feeling that my children will be subject to, witness, and die in a horrific war that our government help enable.

Certainly they are both, or could be both, scandals but not all that similar I think most of you will agree. Eventually Congress did change its mind and approve the assistance to the contras.

In Hillary's case it's more like accepting bribes through the Clinton Foundation and paying them off with access to the state department and special favors and then hiding the evidence. Remember that's what Richard Nixon was lynched for, hiding the evidence.
