But that’s all water under the bridge, because President-Elect Trump committed an egregious transparency violation on Tuesday night. He failed to invite the press corp to a steak dinner and now they are whining. No wonder these idiots pretending to be journalists are despised and hated. OldBrownsFan Posted November 16, 2016 Author Report Share Posted November 16, 2016 FLASHBACK: When Obama Ditched Reporters and No One Cared On Wednesday night, President-elect Donald Trump went out for a steak dinner with his family after his spokesperson gave the press pool a “lid,” meaning the day is over….and the Democrat Media Complex, NBC specifically, lost their collective damn minds. NBC News embarrassingly tweeted about the steak dinner and accused Trump of showing a lack of transparency. You would think he was using a private, unsecured email server housed in someone’s bathroom, communicating as POTUS with his secretary of state using an alias, and destroying Blackberries and iPads to cover his tracks or something. Then again, when Clinton did that, the press ignored most of the glaring controversy and said she did such things out of convenience. NBC Correspondent Hallie Jackson argued that this was more than just about Trump going to dinner. It’s about the American people knowing the “basic whereabouts of the president-elect.” Perhaps NBC and MSNBC should be reminded of the time when Barack Obama ditched the press pool during his Hawaiian vacation when he was president-elect in 2008. A vacationing President-elect Barack Obama slipped away from the traveling press pool that follows him wherever he goes, taking his two young daughters, family members and friends to Hawaii’s Sea Life Park. The group caught a dolphin show on Friday before visiting a touch pool and the sea lion exhibit, where it was feeding time. Maybe all was forgiven by the press pool for president-elect Obama ditching them because he offered to buy them some shaved ice afterward. Either that or they were too busy wiping the drool from the mouths as they fawned over his every move. After the park visit, the Obama group was joined by the press pool — which arrived at the park about an hour after the Obamas but was not allowed in — as they stopped for a sandwich and shaved ice. The reporters declined an offer from Obama to buy them some shaved ice. Red State’s Ben Howe, who has been a vocal critic of Trump since the GOP primary, perhaps called out the press best with this tweet. Indeed.
