ESPN is losing money because of cable cutters, not a liberal agenda.

Anyone Who Thinks ESPN’s Decline Isn’t Because of Its Liberal Bias Is Either In Denial, an Idiot, or Both

I know half dozen people that cut their cable, I asked a friend if he was cool missing out on SVP. He said he'll get stuff on YouTube or the app. Just too expensive paying for channels you don't watch.

I'm sure there are a few people thstt quit watching over political affiliation. But that is far and away outdone by those trying to save a few bucks.

Frankly there is not much that ESPN has to offer since I don't care much about sports if they are not based in Ohio.

I guess the liberal bulshit is more prevalent among the black athletes but on the other hand almost all the viewers are working class whites.

The point being is that you are more likely to stop watching ESPN thanks to pick and choose / cable cutting options (pay for what you want, don't pay for what you don't [ESPN]) than because you're offended by someone saying a positive thing about BLM.

Or someone at ESPN comparing the Tea Party to ISIS.

Also don't discount the liberal bias of ESPN as the reason for cable cutting options by many...they just don't think ESPN is worth it anymore. So it is a combination of both but I think you are minimizing the damage to ESPN by their left wing politics.

ESPN should have never fired Hank Williams Jr. in the first place. Glad to see him return but I have to believe ESPN is only doing this now because they have lost so many viewers.

Stuart

You might think differently if you knew which team Hank Jr. is a huge fan of. LOL

Well if I am allowed to choose among different Sports News networks that Would-be one reason to pick 1 over another.

Maybe you're right OBF. Maybe conservatives are so victimized and sensitive that they can't possibly bear to watch ESPN anymore, and that this is driving ESPNs decline.

Or, ESPN was already declining and will continue to because of a shift in the industry, and this decline would happen regardless of political views. So while a vast minority of viewers make a stink on the internet about a perceived ESPN liberal agenda to the point they stop watching, it's dwarfed by the natural evolution of how we receive sports entertainment.

Not a perceived liberal agenda a full force endorsement of the liberal agenda with proof of that look no further than Bruce aka Caitlynn Jenner who gets the courage award from ESPN over others who showed real courage other than putting on a dress,

If ESPN wants to cater to the liberal agenda and be biased against conservatives it seems like a smart move for conservatives to take their business elsewhere.

If a person was thinking about discontinuing ESPN for cost cutting don't you think ESPN's liberal bias might factor into one's decision making about it? Particularly if you are a conservative and don't like the liberal agenda on ESPN.

If you're that easily offended, I can't help you.

Here is the resume of just one of the candidates ESPN passed on to award Caitlyn Jenner their Arthur Ashe courage award:

Lauren Hill

Lauren Hill was born in Greendale, Indiana.[2] Her battle with cancer became public when the NCAA agreed to allow Mount St. Joseph to play Hiram College two weeks prior to the original game date so Hill could play. [3] The location of the game was also originally moved from Hiram's Price Gymnasium to Mount St. Joseph's Harrington Center so that Hill would not have to travel the over 300 miles from Cincinnati to Hiram. However, due to public interest in the game, it was later moved from the 2,000 seat Harrington Center to the 10,250 seat Cintas Center on the campus of Xavier University.[4] She raised US$1 million for pediatric cancer research with a Cincinnati telethon for The Cure Starts Now Foundation.[5] The Foundation then donated $1 million to brain cancer research[6][7] and continues to grow and donated over $4.7 million to medical research in 2015.[8]

*But politically correct ESPN gives the award to Caitlyn Jenner whose claim to fame is cross dressing and being part of the Kardashians.

I recall you, or perhaps another poster - however you agreed with the sentiment, making fun of the liberal elite in the media handing awards amongst themselves. Being out of touch with reality, etc etc.

Now you use this to justify your argument.

A bit ironic, no?

Don't know what you are referring to but ESPN giving Bruce (Caitlyn) Jenner the ESPN courage award over others who actually showed courage instead of just being a man wearing a dress seems out of touch with reality to me and the perfect example of the liberal agenda ESPN has pursued and why many have quit watching ESPN.

what point? giving the award to jenner is liberal activist popularity with liberal agenda crap.

there are so many other very, very deserving individuals who should have been

considered....

there's big soros money in playing to the extreme left.

Thanks but I won't be needing to borrow your "safe space" any time soon.

Oh no no no. No safe space here.

Cutting your ESPN subscription because you don't like that Jenner got an award, that's needing an ESPN free safe space.

Deleting threads because you don't like the responses, that's also needing a safe space.

Feel victimized. It's ok.
