Here is this week's survey. Give your answers:

My own answers.

1. Who do you think is the best fighter (boxer) ever?

Very, very difficult to say. Tyson was the most devastating puncher ever.

Ali was 'the greatest" by his own acclimation...and who am I to argue.

Some say the Sugar Ray Robinson was the best pound for pound. I never saw him. I did see the other Sugar Ray...Leonard, and he was the bomb.

Final answer: Go with Ali.

2. What do you think is the best fight ever (boxing match)

The Trilogy between Ali/Frazier

3. Are you into MMA/UFC?

No, I fairly well hate it. I am a bit of a purist. In my opinion of you have mixed martial arts you have no martial arts.

4. Who are the one or two persons you have ever known personally...that you would want to have your back in a fight?

Two guys....in different circumstances:

A. Femen Ong. He may very well be the greatest martial artist in American History...and he lived right here in Barberton, Ohio, and was the bailiff in the Barberton Muni court for many years. He would show up at National Tournaments...and the promoters of the event would hand him the trophy and tell everyone else that they are fighting for second place. And he was also the Sifu of my tai chi/kung fu teacher...which I guess makes him my grand master (though I met him when I was young...I never took lessons from him)

B. For a Street fighting Man....a guy named Garry Gray that went to high school with me. He was the toughest SOB in the county, and a friend of mine (ask WSS). We came from a more "rural" community....but we were next to the more "urban community" that thought they were tougher....but they weren't tougher than this guy. He would take on three of the guys from the "city" who had reputations as street fighters...and beat them all.

(both of the above are now deceased)

5. Bringing it back to the Browns.....who do you think is the toughest Browns player ever (on the football field)

Three guys come to mind: Jim Brown...for all the reasons stated above by Nickers. And Earnest Byner, and Eddie "the Assassin" Johnson. I don't know if Eddie was all that tough...but he certainly looked it.

6. Finally....who would win: Zombo or Ghoolie?

Under the Marquis of Queensbury Rules, Zombo would have a chance. If it turned into a street brawl I think Ghoolie would prevail.

So, the question is: what form would this fight take?

no one fucks with me so I don't know

That was not the question...the question was if you knew someone that was a tough fighter. I never got into scrapes either, but I knew someone who would be good to have at my side if it ever happened.

Ok my mom? Gip I did time and try to forget about it as much as I can. I had people watching my back everyday. It was the white people. When you're locked up you stay with your own kind but I can truthfully say I'm not one bit prejudice but rules become different in there.

OK, I get where you are coming from. I have not had those experiences. But...your mom is a good answer!

Memories!! I was there!!

See, and here we go again. Time affects our answers, opinions and experiences so much. My interest in boxing tapered off over the past 15 years. I think the last fight I had interest in was Tyson/Lewis, and I was disappointed to see Mike not in top form.

But I did see this fight, and man, it ranks up there with any of them I listed.

And what about James J Braddock? Coming up from the dead to beat the shit out of Max Bear? My Uncle Nick, loved Dempsy, fought like him, and he loved Braddock. Joe Louis called Braddock the bravest man he ever met. Now THAT was a great man.

What do you make of this McGreggor - Mayweather fight? I was never a huge Mayweather fan, but I have never seen a street fighter stand a chance against a boxer. The cardio required to box is far, far greater than that for this MMA shit. I think Mayweather will destroy the guy.

Its hard to say which era would fare the best if you could mix them. The tape shows far superior talent in recent decades, but there is a complete lack of heart in the ring these days.

Its boxing. Floyd will make a fool of Conner. Conner will see angles and punches from distances hes never seen in a real fight. From one of the best craftsmen of his time no less. GGG vs Canelo should be a throw back fight though.

PS Wouldn't be the least bit surprised though if that crazy irish fuck kicks Floyd right in the head and knocks him out cold.

It depends. If it's a boxing match its Mayweather. If its mma then it's McGreggor. I will be watching and it's been forever since I've purchased ppv.

One, I haven't read a bunch, but I believe it is a boxing match, not an MMA. In MMA there are so many varibles anything can happen. I used to love the PPV fights, at least the boxing stuff. I bet Holly Holm vesus Rousey so I went to see that fight. Still don't understand why Comcast doesn't offer the NFL package.

2017 and we have "antenna with rotor" type service trying to find games. It sucks. The programming in Memphis is so fucked up. If we don't get the Titans, we get a manning game, logical or not.

I was a loyal Direct tv customer from '97-'15. They fucked me a couple of times so threatened to switch then fucked me again. I was on auto pay and they took too much out and I didn't notice for a couple of months. After investigating and calling countless times they would credit me then overcharge again. Fuck it right? But I lost the nfl games.

Now its the red zone channel or games I see locally and sometimes a trip to hooters.

Both fighters are too cocky for me so either one getting knocked out would be cool.

I've always loved boxing beginning with the B&W GILLETTE FRIDAY NIGHT FIGHTS, Dad used to have an occasional beer and we'd sit on the floor and watch I'd have an occasional sip of beer. ;)

He was a great club fighter as a late teen and a NAVY champion during WWII.

His friend one street over would have been a national or world champion if he didn't have a greedy manager (Matt M.) check the dates too close for any heavyweight type fighter. http://www.fightsrec.com/mike-birskovich.html

Fighter? Tyson... at his peak he was the most intimidating man I've ever seen inside the ring.

Good God, no...

4. Who are the one or two persons you have ever known personally...that you would want to have your back in a fight?
