Here are the rankings for the AFCN teams:

Receivers:

Steelers 9th

Bengals: 13th

Browns: 27th

Ravens: 29

Running Backs:

Steelers: 1

Bengals: 8th

Browns: 24th

Ravens: 28th

Offensive Line:

Browns: 2d

Steelers: 3rd

Ravens: 23rd

Bengals: 31st

Quarterback:

Steelers 8th

Ravens: 16th

Bengals: 24th

Browns: 32d

Defensive Backfield:

Ravens: 6th

Bengals: 20th

Browns: 22d

Steelers: 23rd

Defense, overall:

Ravens: 11th

Steelers: 13th

Bengals: 14th

Browns: 30th

Now...who is underrated and who is overrated?

A. Personally, I think all the defense overall are overrated (except the Browns...who I think will prove to be underrated)

B. Steelers run game slightly overated. Top 10...but not #1. Browns run game, I think, will prove to be underrated.

C. Steeler receiving corps may actually be underrated at #9 with A. Brown..and if Bryant comes back to form

D. Ravens DB I think vastly overrated. Middle of the pack, not top 10.

E. I think the QBs are close to being right...though Flacco maybe a bit underrated. They have Cousins, Stafford, Mariota ahead of him. He could maybe move up 3-4 spots. I can't argue with the ranking of the Browns QBs...though I expect them to disprove that ranking when the shooting begins.

F. Again, I can't argue with the current ranking of Browns defense, give last year...but I do expect them to move up toward the middle of the pack.

Pluto on QB release times. Very telling stats both for QBs and for receivers.

Well, this is what I asked before....what is the reason for slow release?....and how do they measure release time?

I think that there is a difference between the act of making the decision to throw and "trigger speed". If QBs are not making the decision to throw...it could mean a few things: A. They are just slow at decision making..which is not good, or B. as Pluto said...the receivers are not doing the job of getting open...or C. the OL is a sieve and the QB has to scramble to avoid the rush...thus delaying release time.

Or, as I said, is it a matter of "trigger time". Can the QB get rid of the ball in lightning like (Dan Marino like) speed. Or do they have a big slow windup. You might think that the big tall, Osweiler/Flacco size guys would have the long windups. But that may not be the case...maybe sometimes, not always. If a QB winds up to throw the ball like he is Luis Tiant out there, that does no good. (It is apparently why Tim Tebow had no career).

And, another factor has to be how deep of a drop is a QB asked to make? If all Browns pass plays call for 5-8 step drop, it is going to take longer to release it than with a 3 step block. Should Hue devise more plays with fewer step drops?

Here I will list the Unit rankings I attained from several a random sources regarding the various units on NFL teams.:

FIFY... "several" gives the impression you're averaging the ratings of multiple outlets for each unit.

Offensive Line:

Browns: 2d

Steelers: 3rd

Ravens: 23rd

Bengals: 31st

Looks pretty close to one of our rankings...
