That game was pretty cool for me..HC'ing wise.Met Matt Campbell a few times going home to Toledo on Campus..Drew up a very smart offensive game plan as usual. Only a guy like Matt would take a good athlete like Joe Lenning & say yep he can play MLB & QB..As Matt did today..I now live in Grnville,NC where watching Lincoln Riley as OC at ECU made stars out of Zay Jones,Justin Hardy & Shane Carden who had no chance without Lincoln as OC. Carden Now in Arena League. Did not care who won.. just fun to watch, knowing of the two young smart coaches..If your a Buckeye Nut like me. I guess i did care..It was also fun to watch Mayfield Lose than cry after game to media

Think I have found my new front runner at QB position..Luke Falk-Wash.St. with 12 mins. left in 4th in Oregon.Cool Hand Luke passes Mariota in all time TD passes. Another 22 of 38 284yrds. 3 TD's no picks..Luke's completion rate got to be for season around 75%..A Senior, no doubt draft-able..just bubble-wrap when possible please

Alabama head coach Nick Saban just became one of the highest-paid coaches in all of sports, thanks to a contract extension signing bonus that was approved by the school on Tuesday. The new deal, first reported by USA Today, brings his 2017 salary to $11.125 million.

In 2014, Saban signed an eight-year extension that paid him $6.9 million a year. Saban’s deal also features a $4 million contract signing bonus for this season, which also extends his deal to eight years, and it’ll give him $65 million through 2025.

Saban’s salary is now the highest in college football by more than a couple million — Michigan’s Jim Harbaugh took the highest-paid spot with his $9 million salary, part of which included a life insurance policy.

But the Tide head coach’s new deal now gives him one of the highest salaries in all of sports, not just college football. He makes more than San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich’s $11 million, Bill Belichick’s $7.5 million a year with New England, and the San Francisco Giants’ Bruce Bochy’s $6 million annual salary.

Saban will still make less than some soccer managers — Manchester City’s Pep Guardiola makes more than $16 million per year. But being the highest-paid coach in every American sports isn’t too shabby.

The 2014 extension that gave him $6.9 million was already high. It made him more money thanwhat Sun Belt and MAC head coaches made combined, and it was bigger Los Angeles manager Mike Scioscia’s $5,000,000 salary........

Harbaugh is kind of an ADD guy....so, his leaving may not have anything to do with anything other than him being itchy.

The $11.125 million that Saban is set to receive for this season will be, by far, the greatest amount paid to a college athletics coach since USA TODAY Sports began tracking the compensation of football and men's basketball coaches in 2006. It also likely makes him one of the nation's most highly paid public employees -- if not the highest-paid.

Duke men's basketball coach Mike Krzyzewski was credited with nearly $9.7 million in total compensation the 2011 calendar year, including bonuses and the value of all perks, according to the school's federal tax returns, although $775,000 of that amount was deferred compensation that had been reported on prior years' returns.

Within higher-education, there is perhaps one comparable situation to Saban's — that of former Yale president Richard Levin. In 2015, when the school released its federal tax return that included pay data for the 2013 calendar year, Levin was listed as having received a total of more than $9.6 million. Just over $8.5 million of that was in the form of a special lump-sum retirement payment after his 20 years in the job ended June 30, 2013.

If Alabama fires Saban without cause, it would owe him a buyout of as much as four years' worth of his base salary and the "talent fee" that is consideration for various TV/radio and endorsement rights -- a total of $26.9 million.

It was the first time the school had altered Saban’s agreement since 2014, when an amendment gave him an eight-year contract that pays him just over $6.9 million each season.

At that time the deal made Saban the nation’s highest-paid public school football coach. Since then he has been surpassed by Michigan’s Jim Harbaugh, who is set to make $7 million this season and $7.5 million for the 2018 season. Every year?  Harbaugh has only been coach there for what? 2 years?  

And lets see a raise of hands who think that going from the 49ers to Michigan is an "upward trajectory" move?    I suggest not a single hand other than yours would be raised around here.  Is he getting more money and control? Perhaps.  That does not mean it is a more prestigious gig. It is NOT. 

And the person who learns nothing is you.  Here are a couple of things you need to learn:

A. Michigan is an inferior football program to Ohio State.

B. Michigan is an inferior state to Ohio.

C. Harbaugh is  freak, so assuming you know what he is going to do simply makes an butt out of u.
