All depends on Kizer and Jackson's game day decision.

put those 3 pts on hue for that ridiculous decline of a penalty that would have put them 3rd and 16 at midfield

I think even at the height of my Ghoolie attitude I wouldn't blast the team on this day. Those guys played like warriors. Some keep making mistakes, but this was a really tough loss. I have not felt bad after a football game for quite some time, but this is just unfathomable. I think Haslam has no choice to make some type of a gesture. Fans deserve something.

We definitely deserve better than this.

Color me shocked.

Or in the return game.  I think Njoku was a stretch as a first rounder but time will tell but I'm not sure what the thought process was with Peppers.  If you were looking for a quality safety try to move up to get your guy or draft one in round 2.  If you were looking for a kick returner look in the later rounds.

Interested to see how Peppers is used when he returns. Did not seem to miss him as Centerfielder.

You do know that Woody won’t tolerate that type of criticism when it comes to Peppers?

I was all in on the Peppers pick, like in the 2nd or 3rd round.

Dunno since it wasn't a criticism of Peppers.... so there's that.

I think Peppers has been miscast out of necessity, or at least due to Williams' perception of necessity. Now that Williams has had a glimpse of life without Peppers in CF, maybe that perception changes... and with it Peppers role.

Still waiting for the "Once in a lifetime talent" to take over a game....... hell, take over a quarter. So far, just another Courtney Brown.

Maybe I'm just expecting way too much based on all of the pre-draft hype.

I think this is as close as we're gonna get to a win until the Bears game.

huh?  We *could* win any of the remaining games on the schedule now that rodgers is out with gb.

this is the nfl...we are going to be 4-6 pt underdogs in a lot of these upcoming games.  They are all winnable.

Garrett gets welcomed to the NFL by Taylor Lewan. . .

It took two guys, once of them tripping Myles up, to "welcome him" to the NFL. If you look at the end of the play, it looks like Garrett was bested, if you look at the entire play you will see that Garrett was pushing the OL back like he was a poosy. If you listen to the tape really close, you can hear the guy crying like a bidge...please help me with a double team, Myles is about to use me for toilet paper.

This is sensationalism. Garrett did just fine. I still don't think he is all that good, I'm just tired of every story bashing the Browns. Enough already.

Was gonna post the same thing. Total misinterpretation of what happened.

Switch to enchiladas.  Tacos are not agreeing with you.

The Titans were playing the crappiest team in the league.  An obvious let-down week.  They played very close to the vest and somewhat uninspired.  And we STILL couldn't win.  We're quite bad in case you haven't noticed.   The name of the game is PASSING and we have a poor selection of QB's and WR's.

yes, we lost today as 5.5 pt underdogs.  Most of our other games are going to have similar lines...we could win them.  I still think we win 3 games.

Rodger Goodell, enough with your cowpoop. I don't care what the weather 'feels' like outside it's Shmucking FALL. Josh Gordon has reapplied. Reinstate the man and quit Shmucking around with Cleveland Browns.

Hue Jackson, Hogan is healed. Healed enough, let him loose. Let the guy earn his stripes, he's ready to lead this team now.

Sashi Brown, next time you think you can save a couple mil by letting a player like Terrel Pryor walk and replace him with a player like Britt... punch yourself in the nuts.

Has Puffy actually turned in his reinstation papers?

Hue literally has no idea what he's whispering to any of the QBs, but I'm pretty sure he won't be breathing in Hogan's ear this year again.... unless the other 2 have died.

Pryor was offered a contract by the Browns but took less and chose to sign with the Skins.........

Right, I didn't think you were criticizing him either.

I, like many on here, aren't big fans of how we were using Peppers. That's the scheme Williams wanted to use, and Peppers was the  best option on our team to fill the "angel" role, even though that meant  he was playing out of position. I hope he can get used in a more traditional safety role. I also help we an eventually get more of a true Free Safety and let Peppers play close to the line.

I didn't see  the Titans even attempt many deep shots today either, so there's that. I'm sure all of the "totally not biased" Peppers haters on here will say that is because he wasn't in. Who knows.

The return game didn't have much of an opportunity to do anything today. The Titan's punter was very good.

Oh, and  Hooker tore his ACL and MCL today. Sucks for him. I liked him a lot coming out of OSU and he was playing pretty well. I think his injury concerns were with his shoulder though.

He's been decent, as has Brantley..... Guess I expected a Reggie White, Bruce Smith or LT like performance for a series or two based on all of the hype.

He's been better than Peppers though, I'll give you that............

Based on the Texans game, sounds about right.

I was way off on this game, and that's a good thing.  If you want to find a positive, take a look at the defense.  Garrett got a good lesson from a premium OT, and that's not a bad thing either.  Still came away with a bullcrap sack, but a sack is a sack!  He also made a couple of tackles and looked fast and strong.  You could tell Garrett did NOT like going up against someone as good as Luwan (sp?).  Still...he'll learn from it.

We still can't score points, and it's something we've known all season.  We had a really good chance on that one drive, but Kizer missed a wide open Higgins by about ten feet.  He had time to throw it, had an open receiver in the red zone, and missed by a mile.  Not only that, he missed HIGH.  If he misses low, either Higgins catches it or it harmlessly hits the ground.  I realize Kizer is beyond young, but regardless of age....either you can hit that throw, or you can't.

I haven't been shy regarding my low opinion of Peppers' performance, and I'm not sure this past game is going to help his status either.  The Titans didn't push the ball downfield too many times, but we sure as heck didn't look like we missed him out there.  It's like I've been saying all year, "What the heck does the guy do for our defense?"  He doesn't tackle well in the open field, he doesn't take good angles, and he doesn't get his hands on any passes.  He's just kind of...out there.  And I don't want to hear anything about how young he is, or how he's playing a new position, or any other excuse.  We were the worst team in the league and 2017 was a very deep draft at the safety position.  What do WE do?  We take a guy who hasn't played that position, and we hope for the best.  Lord...

No... you haven't been shy... ever? ;)

Point remains now Gregg has tape with another in the role for which he's seen Peppers as the best option. Maybe that frees him to use Peppers differently... even as God (in the form of Jim Harbaugh) intended.

On Garrett... I saw two things Sunday...

  • continued lack of a secondary move off his speed rush, and
  • no use of his patented, ultra low dip within that speed rush.

While the former is still a factor regardless of health, I suspect the latter is a sign that his health is not full. Lewan did a nice job anchoring against MG's stack rush and escorting MG's speed rushes deep and past MM.

We know high-ankles linger beyond a players' return to functionality. I suspect... barring a set back in London, where I expect more success vs. Reiff... to see MG have a greater impact after our healing Bye. Excel? Going to need that 2nd move emerge...

I'm OK where we drafted Njoku. He's extremely athletic. Just need a QB that can get him the ball.

You probably couldn't see it on TV, but Williams was playing a lot of two deep Sunday, and usually not as deep as he has been.

Yup, a bunch of us OSU homers wanted Hooker. Guess we're off the hook now. :)
