LondonBrown Posted October 22, 2017 Report Posted October 22, 2017 Seems like every big play these days is called back, the spectacle of the NFL is not what it was even as recently as 3 or 4 years ago IMO
DieHardBrownsFan Posted October 22, 2017 Report Posted October 22, 2017 The game has gone down hill withoutadoubt.
hx214 Posted October 23, 2017 Report Posted October 23, 2017 I listen to the game every week, but it sounded like that offensive pass interference call on the big play Duke had was complete BS. The guys on the radio never really question calls and Doug Deacon pretty much said, "Ya I see nothing on the replay...."
gumby73 Posted October 23, 2017 Report Posted October 23, 2017 More dirt::Browns take over FIRST PLACE in Penalties..1249 plays. 58 Against -480 yards.7 declined penalties makes it 65 total flags. 26 at Home 32 Away..

The Gipper Posted October 23, 2017 Report Posted October 23, 2017 The most undisciplined team in football is what I see. And I don't see it as a complete lack of talent. I see it as a lack of discipline....a lack of proper schemes and play calling....a lack of the ability to adjust.
jrb12711 Posted October 23, 2017 Report Posted October 23, 2017 You can't argue the offisdes (five!!), but I've long since pleaded that officiating in the NFL has been horrid, and strongly favors the better teams. There have been several calls against the Browns the past several games in big moments that were questionable, at best. This past game, the absolutely bullcrap OPI went from the browns having a 1st down at about the 30 yard line of the Titans to being pushed back and Kess throwing an INT. This is their job just like we all have. I understand the game is 1000 miles an hour, and often things are "close calls" that I may disagree with, but it can be understood why the flag was thrown. That wasn't one of those times, and had a monumental impact on the game. The only way to change that is either 1) hold the refs accountable with a fine or discipline such as not being allowed to ref the following week, or 2) allowing a special new category of challenges for bad calls. The NFLPA will never allow scenario number 1, so why not number 2?
