THE BROWNS BOARD

This Week in the AFC North

Well, the Browns finally did it.

They turned the franchise around.

And in typical Brownsiness ... they backed into it.

By Botching the trade with the Bengals, the Browns saved themselves from making a knee-jerk reaction that would lead to 2-3 more years of guaranteed mediocrity ... and instead will stay on to the path of developing Deshone Kizer and/or drafting a QB high in the first round this year ... BOTH of which are far better options than A.J. Fucking McCarron

Browns: You're either going to get a gold mine out of Kizer who has all of the NFL tools, or you're going to get the best available QB in a rich QB draft. Think about that.

Thank you dude that botched trade, thank you.

*****************************************************GREAT ZOMBONI GUARANTEE******************************************************

Cleveland at Detroit 1:00 PM

The Browns took the Titans to overtime and led the Vikings into the third quarter in their last two games. They are coming around. They have had two weeks to gameplan and get healthy for this game. The Lions are coming off a short week after an emotional MNF contest with their arch rivals. TOTAL TRAP GAME for the Lions. BACK UP THE TRUCK on the Browns. There is a lot of young talent there, and this week it comes together. BROWNS 24 LIONS 17

*******************************************************************************************************************************************

Pittsburgh at Indianapolis 1:00 PM

Andrew Luck won't be back this year, and the Colts didn't have a whole lot going on to begin with. Walk in the park for the Steelers. STEELERS 40 COLTS 14

Cincinnati at Tennessee 1:00 PM

Titans are giving 4.5 points ... take the Bungles all day ... they'll probably win the game outright. BUNGLES 20 TITANS 19

ONE MAN'S OPINION SATURDAY AFTERNOON EDITION.........

Just once this season have the winless Browns scored more than 18 points in a game. Maybe DeShone Kizer improves as he gains more experience. But now Cleveland is without Pro Bowl offensive left tackle and leader Joe Thomas. However, the Lions just played an important division game against the Packers Monday. They are at Chicago next week making this a division sandwich.

The Browns have had two weeks to prepare. The Browns’ strength is a defensive front front that has held enemy running backs to a league-low 2.9 yards per carry and just three rushing scores. The Lions don’t run the ball well, are average at best on defense and in a bad situational spot.

SO WHAT TO DO? WHAT DO YOU MEAN WHAT TO DO, THE BROWNIES ARE +13' POINTS RUN DON'T WALK TO YOUR LOCAL ATM AND MAX IT OUT.......ON THE BROWNS OF COURSE. ;)

And while we're in the fortune telling business:

Take INDY +11' vs PIT and TEN -5 vs CIN.

Going to have to do some updating for my season, but can do later. So without further ado...

CIN @ TN (-4.5)

One team finding it's stride vs. one stumbling to the finish line... easy pick... take the stridder.

Prediction: TN 27 CIN 13

PTG @ IND (+13.5)

Only question here is PTG's victory margin. While I think they might be prone to taking this one a lil lightly, IND's already gashable DL is banged up. Look for a big day from Bell and the cover in an offensive game.

Prediction: PTG 44 IND 30

CLE @ DET (-13.5)

Off their Bye and a solid half of football in London I am very tempted to make this our breakthrough week... but the Lions are a good team... at least as good as the Vikes we faced, but with a real QB. So best I can do is a cover.

Prediction: DET 24 CLE 17

FINAL: PTG 20 IND 17 - W/L

CLE @ DET (-13.5)

Prediction: DET 24 CLE 17

FINAL: DET 38 CLE 24 - W/L

Not a great week vs. the spread...

I thought the Steelers losing was as much of a staple of this as the Browns winning?

You're catching on War....   This one especially disheartening.  Moral victory, or spirited loss... pick one......   They played their guts out to quote Butch- for Hueless the Clueless....  Kizer even resembled a real NFL QB- and that's the real shocker.....
