Nah, the future Browns QB was the Ries kid from Barberton...

Yea, he is pretty good. Each one a home boy.   I see you are from Canal Fulton....so he is a home boy to you basically as well.

Did you go to Northwest HS?

My first main "crush" after HS was on a girl that went to Northwest.  But it didn't go anywhere unfortunately.

Born and raised in Ravenna (home of Don "The Human Bowling Ball" Nottingham), moved to Canal Fulton in 2011. Nice little town.

Ries is even shorter, lighter than Baughman.  5'11  175.    It seems he is only getting looks from smaller D-II schools, like Ohio Dominican.

Oh I was kidding, I didn't think he was going to get big-time recruitment. Had a nice high school career for the Magics for sure.

His performance warranted big time recruitment.....but his measurables obviously do not.  (though he is probably about the size of Johnny Fuyucking Football)

By the way, Baughman is about the same size/weight as the favorite for the Heisman:  Baker Mayfield. So I don't think size, per se, should prevent him from  being seriously recruited.

Also...he was on the radio this morning on ESPN.   He stated that since he received this honor that it was a game changer and that everything is up in the air on his wrestling committment to UVA.

While he may not go to like a Top Ten program, I could see the mid/lower range P5 schools perhaps looking closely at him.   Purdue, Indiana, Illinois, WVa, Vanderbilt, KY, NC St.  Duke, Wake etc....or even Virginia could let him play football and wrestle?
