Jp91761 Posted December 24, 2017 Report Posted December 24, 2017 Very doubtful both don’t come out but just read an article that Rosen hasn’t decided. What if darnold and Rosen both Eli Manning is? I hope we don’t take Allen number 1. That would be a nightmare
thenew23 Posted December 24, 2017 Report Posted December 24, 2017 Most players wait until their season is over, and UCLA still plays on Tuesday, so there's that...
jiggins7919 Posted December 24, 2017 Report Posted December 24, 2017 It's a fair question but one that won't really be an issue in my opinion. It's very rare for a QB to refuse to play somewhere, and I don't believe it's ever happened twice in one draft, has it? If it DOES somehow happen, we trade the pick and take Baker Mayfield or Lamar Jackson. Either of them would be delighted to play for us in my twisted brain. Baker Mayfield seems like the kind of guy who WANTS a challenge like leading our team. Why I think that....not totally sure. Just a hunch.

I'm not real keen on Mayfield being a Cleveland Brown, but I agree with you jiggins on that. Baker Mayfield strikes me as the type of guy that would gladly take the challenge of being the QB for the worst team in the NFL. Then again, Manziel also adamantly wanted to be drafted by the Browns, so....
Jp91761 Posted December 24, 2017 Author Report Posted December 24, 2017 Lol. I’d rather take Fitzpatrick 1 and Barkley at 5. Or vice Versa. Sell the farm for cousins. Trade 2 2nds for a good wr and you have a playoff team
Jp91761 Posted December 24, 2017 Author Report Posted December 24, 2017 Welp. On espn right now. Rosen doesn’t want to play for us. Come on down darnold

But like I've said before, the guy that finally raises our team from the ashes is going to be a special personality. A no-fear, worked for everything, grind it out type kid with a ton of heart. Obviously this is just my absurd opinion, but I've felt this way for a long time. I still believe Rosen is the smart pick, and also the one we'll go with in the end. But if Mayfield turns out to be a very good player, it wouldn't surprise me at all.

There's probably not a player I'm more intrigued about seeing play in the NFL, but I don't want to see him wearing the brown and orange to do it.

Jim Kelly wanted nothing to do with playing for the Buffalo Bills. He's practically "Mr. Buffalo". I have serious doubts about Mayfield being successful in the NFL.
