Sober Poet Posted January 5, 2018 Report Posted January 5, 2018 Link to Article Here is what PFF said about Garrett: Garrett finishes the season ranked 13th among edge defenders in terms of overall grade, and he’s 1-of-9 edge defenders to finish with grades of at least 85.0 in both run defense and as a pass-rusher. The first-overall pick finished seven straight games with a grade of at least 78.3 to end the season and graded below 74.3 just once all year. Garrett finished every game he played this year with multiple pressures, tallying at least three pressures nine times, and he recorded at least one knockdown in all but one contest. There were few bright spots this season for the Browns, but Garrett was certainly one of them.
LogicIsForSquares Posted January 5, 2018 Report Posted January 5, 2018 Get healthy and I think criticism of Garrett would disappear around these parts. The kid can perform when he is in the game.
jrb12711 Posted January 5, 2018 Report Posted January 5, 2018 Garrett ONLY 7th despite missing significant time with injury?! What a bust.

If the former...its not so bad for a rookie....if the latter...it is suckitage for a rookie #1 overall pick.

You need an "elite" subscription to learn more. Anybody got one? Additional Stat I found: PFF Elite Stat: Since Week 5 – when Garrett made his debut – his 18 quarterback knockdowns (sacks plus hits) led all rookies.

Oh that "guy" will be just fine once he has a functional QB and an intact D that gives that QB the ball enough to actually win games. Besides once he he gets a taste of that Venezuelan rum he'll be as mellow as they come. LOL!
