Is Dwayne Rudd the only player ever penalized for taking off a helmet? Saw at least 2 Vikings do it on that last play.

Wow 43. Hope his team mates don't destroy him.

Dwayne Rudd did it when the ball STILL was in play. In the Vikings' TD they take the helmet off afterwards.

That 6th grade DB Marcus Williams was high on my & Tour's draft board last season:lol: I'd still take him..1 bone headed rookie whiff......Football..the greatest game on the planet. Run by mind-less million-naries..Complete with mind-less coaching blunders...But the Athletes are awesome...Great Games..period (but them damn zebra's with camera :P)

Why do I have the feeling that it will NOT be MIN vs NE and maybe neither?

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Give it a rest already you fossil. lol

AAFC titles, equivalent to the modern day Arena Bowl championships are not recognized by the NFL.

The operative number is 6, and the only thing that matters in todays football world are Super Bowls.

I bet even Browns fans grow weary of your "feel better about yourself because we actually have more Championships than the Steelers" rhetoric.

But if it works for you then by all means keep going with it.

Speaking of fuyucking idiots.   The operative number is 13....even though you are stupid of a fuyucking idiot to believe it.

Do they not count NBA titles before 1970?  Do they not count World Series titles before 1970?  Do they not count NHL titles before 1970?  They count them all....and all those leagues have expanded as much as the NFL.   The "Super Bowl" is merely an expansion of the playoffs due to the expansion of the teams in the league.  Its just that the other teams didn't come up with some marketing gimmick for their versions of the expanded playoffs.

And the reason it works...is because it is the pure truth and fact of the matter.

The only titles that count are the last one and the next one...the rest are all just historical data.

If it makes you feel better Gip. When they start calling it "The World Bowl" Steeler fans are all out of luck.

After last night the Pats do seem a prohibitive favorite.

I mean, could Brady be the GOAT?   Even over Jim Brown and Jerry Rice?

:lol::lol: But according to Ghoolie- Brady is washed up, done....

NO SAINTS 24 MIN VIKINGS 23 Final........oooops last play MIN 29 NO 24 :o:o

Geeezzzus H Christmas, nevermind. (saved my perfect 4-0 weekend)

They will still be talking about that last play 40 years from now, shades of The Immaculate Reception, the Music City Miracle....  What was the college Doug Flutie one where they ran through the band? HAS to be in the top 10 all time "Fantastic Finishes". Certainly last play of the game (considering the stakes involved)...  I'll let you research that one Gip. Was with a group of 20 other pals and they all agreed, f'n unbelievable.

If you want a value bet....If by some miracle Jacksonville can beat New England...there's no reason to think they then couldn't beat either Minnesota or Philly.

Oh without a doubt no real money to be made on the NE 6/5 unless you want to lay a ton and risk more......sure thing or not with the Belichick Bombers.

2017-2018 has been a wierd year right up to New Orleans beating Minnesota oooops who just might grab home field and home noise advantage in SB LII !

You are always posting the betting lines.  Do you frequently bet on these games?

I used to  bet a lot years back especially when I started down the mill at 18 bookies were everywhere ! Now more like pick ems and parlays and not much. Most of my old bookies are retired to Florida  now or 6 feet under. I got pretty good at it.

It's just an old hobby I guess.

The back story, does JAX have a shot?   Then the backup quarterbacks championship game?   Vegasinsider.com NFL home story......

Minutes after the Jaguars completed their shock 45-42 win over the Steelers in Sunday’s AFC divisional playoff game, the Westgate SuperBook in Las Vegas installed the Patriots as 8-point home favorites vs. Jacksonville for next weekend’s conference title tilt (3:05 p.m. ET, CBS).

Considering the Jags were gifted seven points at Pittsburgh, -8 felt like a generous offer on the Patriots. An early-to-the-window wiseguy agreed with that notion and immediately laid the points at the Westgate.

Ed Salmons, manager of the SuperBook, said when he and his colleagues earlier on Sunday mulled the point spread for a potential Jaguars-Patriots matchup, they were thinking New England -9.5. After watching Jacksonville in fine form at Pittsburgh, though, they decided to hang a lower number.

“Jacksonville looked so good on the offensive side, but we couldn’t tell if it was them or Pittsburgh was that bad. And then Leonard Fournette (injured) his ankle, and we didn’t know how much that was going to affect him next week, so we opened 8,” Salmons said. “It doesn’t take much to move these lines early, and we took a bet (on New England) at 8 and we went to 9 for teasers. If it goes to 9.5, it’s not going to be surprising.”..........

.........Asked if he believes the Jags have a shot to win outright, Salmons said, “Not really. I’ll never say never, but it’s so hard to look at this and see them winning the game. I can see them maybe keeping it close, but I don’t know about winning.”

Minnesota Vikings (-3.5, 38.5) at Philadelphia Eagles, 6:40 p.m. ET, FOX

While Philadelphia’s 15-10 win over Atlanta on Saturday justified the opinion that the Eagles were not getting the respect they deserved by being made the underdogs, the NFC’s No. 1 seed is back in the same role this week.

After the Vikings beat the Saints 29-24 thanks to one of the craziest finishes to an NFL playoff game anyone can remember, they were installed as favorites of -3 (-120) for Sunday’s conference championship game at Lincoln Financial Field. Bettors were eager to lay that price.

“We saw the market move up to 3.5, and we’re not going to fight it,” said Salmons, whose book adjusted to Minnesota -3.5 (even). “ It’s the same mentality (we used when making Atlanta -2.5 at Philly). People are going to want to bet the Vikings. The Eagles can get the dog masks ready again, because they’re not gonna get respect from this end of it.”...........

...........Salmons, an Eagles fan, stresses Foles has a tougher task in front of him than the one he faced Saturday.

The Atlanta game “set up nicely for him,” Salmons said. “Minnesota looked like they got beat up on the defensive side (Sunday), but going against Brees and going against Foles ... I don’t think Foles has anything like that in him.”

Were Simbal on our side of the counter, he would be enticed by the home dog.

“Everybody’s going to count out the Eagles again, but why can’t they do it?,” Simbal said. “You get Case Keenum in the elements, the crowd’s going to be crazy. I would take the points.”

The total, meanwhile, opened 40 at the Westgate, dropping to 38.5 in short order.............
