Poldark

[Westside Steve]

I hesitated to get into this one because it's a PBS series from the BBC and often those English things are a little bit dry. But roll the dice and it's a pretty enjoyable series. Captain Ross Poldark a member of a well respected Welsh family though something of a slacker was thought to be killed fighting with the British during our Revolutionary War. He returns home to find his love Elizabeth Weds to his cousin Francis. His father has died in his absence and his Uncle and Cousin are much more well-to-do but Ross finds himself somehow and vows to make a success of life and the nearly useless mine his father left him.

It seems like one of those romance novels you find in the drug store but it's a pretty entertaining series.
