We have signed WR Jaelen Strong ...ex Texans 3rd round pick and Jags receiver, hope he turns into another Perriman

Big deal.. Next?

He's got good size.  Let's see if he can beat someone out of a roster spot.

Also ran a 4.44 at the Combine with a 10-yd split of 1.57 and jumped 42"... with a bad hammie.

Bad-ass WR at AZ State... when healthy.

Attitude change. 👍

We got talent now, but gotta keep pushing the depth

Funny thing is we sign him before we resigned Perriman ....

I have a feeling Perriman is gonna pull a TP2.0 on us...

Typically, NFL teams seem to carry 6 WRs on their final 53 man roster. Right now, I think the WRs with the inside track are Landry, Callaway, Higgins, Perriman, with Strong, Willies, Ratley, & a mystery man (Beckham???) in the mix. Our WR situation is the best it's been since "the return". Once again, just my opinion.

I don't think so. His experience here has been nothing but a positive resurgence of his career & he has a young QB who puts the ball where it needs to be. He's a whole lot smarter than Pryor & he stays.

Interesting take.  Maybe we signed Strong to lessen the lever Perriman and his agent might have in contract negotiations.  Maybe they have already walked in with a number far bigger than Dorsey and Depo can chew.

I read this when it happened & am still shaking my head 🤔... In all my years of watching Browns football, nothing fries my eggs🍳 during a browns game more than..pros DROPPING PASSES!! As a team we finished 3rd highest. Landry led the league with 11 but with most attempts of 149. Njoku,Callaway=6 each. Duke,Higgins,Chubb=3 each. Ratley 2, Charlse/Devalve= 1 each..On 25 targets, B.Perriman caught 16 with ZERO drops.(sign him up JD). also, Fells,Hillard & Willies Dropped Zero..I'll end this rant with Baker, 1 target,1 catch,0 Drops,1 TD :).. In Baltimore, Perriman was targeted 66 times, catching 33 with 5 drops..not every kid is drafted in the right place..Maybe Cleveland is the right spot for Perriman? As for Strong, escaping injuries should make this kid hungry for success. Strong has 2 seasons of 24 targets each, 14 catches in each, with 1 drop in a pair of seasons in each.. Sure theirs 6 WR's over 6'2 205 coming out in this years draft..but they all know about 6-7 routes. expected to learn double that amount. Not many Rd.1 drafted WR's have survived the  best WR Madden curse. 2nd to 4th round draftees seem to fair better in NFL.....Edit--- I've looked for days, trying to find these rooks drop passing rates? Has anybody seen any? 👀..I hear Metcalf's drop rate is not good. But what is it compared to Hakeem Butler's or TJA Whiteside at Stanford?

Baker's catch was for a 2 point conversion, but ironically that happened even earlier than his first TD pass in the NFL.

I'm up for trying to get some depth with low risk bets like we did with Perriman. Having Baker helps that too... I bet Perriman is willing to stay even if it is for less money than he wishes for.

I would love to see our guys' drop rates per game throughout the season. I'm guessing those stats looked better as the season went on and exposure to Baker increased.
