The Gipper
OK, so, it is slow in the NFL football front. So, here are some Crazy/Bold predictions for the forthcoming NFL season. Some are really out there, others not so much. Most are courtesy of Yahoo Sports, some are of my own making. Tell whether you agree with these being possible, or not. (love or shove) 1. The Cowboys will finish last in the NFC East 2. Daniel Jones will get -0- starts with the NY Giants 3. Dwayne Haskins will start week 1 for the Redskins 4. The Tampa Bay Bucs will go from 5-11 to 11-5 5. Cam Newton's play will continue to deteriorate due to his injuries 6. The New Orleans Saints will Win the Super Bowl, and then Drew Brees will retire. 7. The Lions will fire Matt Patricia mid season 8. The Packers win the NFC North....Matt LeFleur wins Coach of the Year 9. Kirk Cousins proves his mediocrity with as many Ints, as he has TD passes 10. The 49ers win the AFC West, over the Rams and Seahawks 11. The Rams suffer a Super Bowl loss hangover...and miss the playoffs altogether 12. The Bills challenge the Patriots for the division with a 10 win season 13. Josh Rosen's stats put him in the Top 10 QBs in the league this year 14. Leveon Bell will basically be a bust for the NY Jets 15. The Colts will win the AFC South...and represent the AFC in the Super Bowl, and Luck will be MVP 16. Nick Foles will lead the Jags to a wildcard playoff spot. 17. Ryan Tannehill will replace Marcus Mariota as the Tits starter at some point. 18. Cincinnati wins the AFC North 19. Robert Griffin III will have to step in and play half the season as Ravens starter because of injuries to Lamar Jackson. Ravens slump 20. James Conner and Juju Smith-Shuster will make Pittsburghers forget about L. Bell and A. Brown as Pisstown is the only challenger to Cincy for AFCN title. 21.Joe Flacco sucks for Denver and is replaced 22. The Chargers defense carries them to the AFC West title 23. Patrick Mahomes has a big dropoff, with like 30 TDs and 20 Ints 24. Derek Carr rebounds and makes the Pro Bowl. Oakland challenges for the playoffs....and they have to spend another year in Oak because the Vegas stadium will still not be ready next year. 25. The Browns will prove that they still do not know how to win and will suffer a 10 loss season!
The Gipper
OK, so, it is slow in the NFL football front. So, here are some Crazy/Bold predictions for the forthcoming NFL season. Some are really out there, others not so much. Most are courtesy of Yahoo Sports, some are of my own making. Tell whether you agree with these being possible, or not. (love or shove) My views on these. 1. The Cowboys will finish last in the NFC East....I hope this is true, but Wash./NYGiants are more likely last place there 2. Daniel Jones will get -0- starts with the NY Giants...possible, Eli could be rejuvenated, Jones seems a major potential bust 3. Dwayne Haskins will start week 1 for the Redskins...Absolutely 4. The Tampa Bay Bucs will go from 5-11 to 11-5...not a chance, better maybe, but not that good. 5. Cam Newton's play will continue to deteriorate due to his injuries....agree this is likely 6. The New Orleans Saints will Win the Super Bowl, and then Drew Brees will retire. No, for either statement. Not that Saints cannot be contenders, they are, but I don't think they win...and I don't think that Brees will hang it up if he can still do it. Not while Brady is still playing 7. The Lions will fire Matt Patricia mid season....very possible. 8. The Packers win the NFC North....Matt LeFleur wins Coach of the Year....Packers could win NFCN...but Rodgers, not LeFleur will be given the credit. 9. Kirk Cousins proves his mediocrity with as many Ints, as he has TD passes....Yes, I believe this is highly possible 10. The 49ers win the AFC West, over the Rams and Seahawks. No, sorry, I think both Garrapolo and Kyle Shanahan may be greatly overrated. 11. The Rams suffer a Super Bowl loss hangover...and miss the playoffs altogether. Possible, but I don't think so. They make playoffs. 12. The Bills challenge the Patriots for the division with a 10 win season No, not that kind of faith in Josh Allen 13. Josh Rosen's stats put him in the Top 10 QBs in the league this year....Yes, this will happen!! 14. Leveon Bell will basically be a bust for the NY Jets...Yes, highly possible. 15. The Colts will win the AFC South...and represent the AFC in the Super Bowl, and Luck will be MVP...Colts winning...highly probable, Luck MVP, certainly possible 16. Nick Foles will lead the Jags to a wildcard playoff spot. Yes, that offense gets a veteran, and the defense comes back to form. 17. Ryan Tannehill will replace Marcus Mariota as the Tits starter at some point. Not likely....Mariota not proving to be that good, but much better than Tannehill 18. Cincinnati wins the AFC North....This one proved that Yahoo had a sense of humor. Ah....no 19. Robert Griffin III will have to step in and play half the season as Ravens starter because of injuries to Lamar Jackson. Ravens slump. Agree, highly possible...except the backup may not be Griffin....could be rookie Trace McSorley instead. 20. James Conner and Juju Smith-Shuster will make Pittsburghers forget about L. Bell and A. Brown as Pisstown is the only challenger to Cincy for AFCN title. Well.... they will be OK, but they won't make anyone forget Bell/Brown. Key is still BR and how he holds up. 21.Joe Flacco sucks for Denver and is replaced.....Yes, Denver will want to move on to the Drew Lock era after a few games. 22. The Chargers defense carries them to the AFC West title Agree, one of the most solid defenses in the league. 23. Patrick Mahomes has a big dropoff, with like 30 TDs and 20 Ints. Agree, last year was really his rookie year as a starter, defenses will catch up to him 24. Derek Carr rebounds and makes the Pro Bowl. Oakland challenges for the playoffs....and they have to spend another year in Oak because the Vegas stadium will still not be ready next year. Carr and the Raiders will be improved...will not make playoffs. Move to Vegas will NOT be delayed. 25. The Browns will prove that they still do not know how to win and will suffer a 10 loss season! Well....fuck you Yahoo.
