Guest mz.
It's about fcuking time. Holder, 58, may be on the verge of asserting his independence in a profound way. Four knowledgeable sources tell NEWSWEEK that he is now leaning toward appointing a prosecutor to investigate the Bush administration's brutal interrogation practices, something the president has been reluctant to do. While no final decision has been made, an announcement could come in a matter of weeks, say these sources, who decline to be identified discussing a sensitive law-enforcement matter. via here. calfoxwc
Another political uneventful witchhunt after the Plame mold. Boring. And, a desperate diversion from Obama's failures so far.
Mr. T
Sounds like a diversion, his favorable poll rating is dropping fast and he needs to blame someone else. Watch the Left hand while talking about the Right hand.

osusev
come on Peen, IF Bush/Cheney altered the law to justify something clearly illegal it is a crime. NO ONE should be above the law and the Highest positions who have the most influence should be subject to it equally if not more. clearly Cheney never believed in checks and balances, this duo clearly centralized more power to the executive branch than what the Constitution allows. Something has to put the executive branch into equal power with the Judicial and Legislative branch otherwise the erosiion of the power sharing agreement between each branch is damaged. I think Cheney more than Bush needs to be held accountable criminally, as this illegal Secret cia Program that Panetta just shut down gets more fleshed out I am betting Cheney will be at the heart of it. The "torture" stuff is always going to be grey but I am sure as this year goes by Cheney will be exposed for the Asshat he is.

Man, you fellas can't even read a SUBHEADLINE, so why should anyone ever expect y'all to even read an entire article. Obama doesn't want to look back, but Attorney General Eric Holder may probe Bush-era torture anyway. Cheney will be exposed for the Asshat CRIMINAL he is. Indeed he shall. Spunkonmyback DPOY
Anyone think if there actually is an investigation that nothing new will come up and the investigation will do nothing except restate how waterboarding saved thousands of lifes by foiling the "Second Wave" plot? calfoxwc
Well, so much for "innocent until proven guilty" when liberal radicals are in office. Like Bush and Cheney were guilty of the Plame outing... NOPE. Bush and Cheney were innocent. They just didn't get their day in court to prove it. Just innuendo, politically motivated to keep the heat off Obama et all. "If" Bush and Cheney changed the law? "IF" pigs had great big wings they could fly? Guest mz.
Well, so much for "innocent until proven guilty" when liberal radicals are in office. Nobody's been proven guilty yet. everyone (though they clearly are). This is what a PROBE is for, cal. Not just your anus. Or Uranus.
calfoxwc
And yet another personal slur about anuses, and a planet in the solar system, that has nothing to do with the alleged "subject" at hand. See? They can't help it. Make a good point, and it's diversion city. Pretty easy to predict.
