The big ten had four teams at 6-0 for the first time since 1904

And none of them play each other this weekend only PSU -7.5  has any kind of a real challenge.

They could all possibly be 7-0 next week.  When has that happened before?

No. 4 Ohio State at Northwestern (+25.5):

No. 6 Wisconsin at Illinois (+25.5):

No. 16 Michigan at No. 7 Penn State (-8):

No. 20 Minnesota at Rutgers (+30)

That's five BIG TEN teams in the top 20 and three are practically locks to win, many think PSU will beat Michigan easily.  Agree?

And just FYI the week 9 BIG TEN look ahead,. 6 WISC at 4 OSU,. 7 PSU at MST,. MARY at 20 MIN,. 8 ND at 16 MICH.

Not cupcake week that's for sure.  WISCONSIN at OHIO STATE will be a feature game, NOTRE DAME at MICHIGAN will be interesting.

And Minnesota has a real shot at 8-0 until they close with some real tough games.

Of course PSU will win. Harbutt can’t win a big game on the road.

A lot are calling it a lock in a white out night game in Happy Valley.  (sometimes I get nervous in those "lock" games, Wolverines pride might be on the line)

My Saturday college TV viewing schedule, pretty boring slate of games but two for me YSU and the MICH/PSU matchups.

YSU PENGUINS at the Southern Illinois Salukis 3 pm WBCB TV.

And the best of the top 10 MICH/PSU 7:30 pm ABC.

Illinois 24 Wisconsin (-31) 23....... whoa, kinda spoiles the 6 WISC at 4 OSU show next week.

A freaking 31 point underdog, I guess that's why they play the game!

And speaking of front-runners....

Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa will miss 1-2 weeks with a high ankle sprain sustained against Tennessee, coach Nick Saban told reporters after the game on Saturday.

Tagovailoa exited the game after having his ankle rolled while being pulled to the ground by a defender. A limping Tagovailoa was seen heading into the sideline medical tent in the second quarter as Alabama backup quarterback Mac Jones entered the game, and the Heisman contender soon walked to the locker room without assistance.

Tagovailoa was later ruled out for the rest of the game and reportedly taken from Bryant-Denny Stadium to a hospital, then returned to the locker room, per the ESPN broadcast.

The Heisman Trophy favorite entering this year, Tagovailoa has followed up his record-setting 2018 season with another incredible campaign. In six games before Saturday, the junior had thrown for 2,011 passing yards with a 73.6 completion rate and a 27-to-1 touchdown-interception ratio in the Tide’s elite offense.

The 1-2 week timeframe for Tagovailoa’s recovery fits into a convenient stretch for the Tide, at least. Up next for the team is 2-5 Arkansas, then a bye week. The team can afford little complications though, as a date against No. 2 LSU that could determine not just the winner of the SEC West, but a College Football Playoff spot is only three weeks away.

So? Only major upset was Wisconsin loss to Illinois?

So if you're in the contest to get into the final four as Ohio State and others are a team like Alabama losing their Heisman favorite quarterback might be a big deal. High ankle sprains can be a bitch.

Try and keep up.

apparently Tua had this injury on his other ankle last year. He had surgery then and now. He came back 28 days later last year. This time they play Ark next week, automatic win, then a bye week, then LSU. he will have to come back in 20 days to play LSU.

Hopefully these injuries can be tricky plus the chance of missing games later is always on your mind.

It won't matter much. If an SEC team loses to another SEC team they don't fall far in the poles. Alabama loses to LSU they will probably only fall to #2

That's probably true Alabama will be in the final four mix unless they really screw up?  What's left is just the seeding....... unless Alabama loses two but they are loaded.
