So is it just me or did Rapelisberger look a bit FAT in the face at his press conference? Seems raping hotel employess and golf were his only excercise in the off season if you ask me.

EDIT: ROTFLMAO  Kudos to the mods who took all the ways I showed you COULD talk about Big Gay Ben and fixing them for us!

That is too freakin funny JADBF! I was thinking the exact same thing.

You can't help but get a kick out of the Pittsburgh spin. They think Worthlessberger has been pumpin iron and powergluing HOT chicks.

Then there's the REAL world that knows he's only Ben Pumpin hotel workers against their will when he's not snacking between snacks. I feel bad for that poor homily girl because that's such an inexcusable act; and now she'll have a bunch of 3 River Mutants stalking her while another Rooney payoff gets underway to assassinate her character. She'll prolly lose her job in the process. She stands a ZERO % chance of this ending up the way it should.

For the mere Karma alone - I'm GLAD Willie power-slammed his ass. I'm even MORE glad Atenears had a brand new icon to comemorate how Ben Smellinsalts left the field that day.

I thought this was just a joke thread not a serious one....

IF this happened IT IS NOT out of the realm of normal reality that a casino organization who are notorious for catering to Millionaires and Celebrities to cover for them any way they can.....

IF this happened rape victims quite often do not report criminally due to shame, guilt, outside financial pressure from employers etc ... WELL documented multiple studies confirm that .

IF this is a Civil hit squad bent on using legal blackmail to settle this again is not out of the realm of reality.

Whatever the truth Ben is in some trouble whether true or not like Wall street perception and accusation has REAL physical prescence and repurcussions.

Just because she is not a knockout in the looks category means NOTHING in fact for some predators it is exactly that sort of invincibility of ego trip they rely on.

I dont know or really have an opinion one way or the other but either case or a mix of both would not surprise me. Either way Steeler fans and his Fans/Family in Findlay, Oh are in for a pr roller coaster ride for a few months while this gets resolved.

Truthfully IF he did it I could care less about the impact football wise this has, I just hope the victim can get some relief somehow or if it did not Ben can be vindicated personally for this character assasination and civil blackmail attempt.

I'm standing by my orignal (and only) take on this: The accuser is full of sh!t and lying through her teeth to get money.

RENO, Nev. (AP)—The woman suing quarterback Big Gay Ben(notes) for alleged sexual assault has been accused of bragging about having consensual sex with him to a co-worker.

According to court documents filed late Friday, Angela Antonetti said the woman who made the rape claim “did not appear to be upset, stressed-out or nervous” about her time with the Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback during a 2008 celebrity golf tournament at Lake Tahoe.

Antonetti said her Harrah’s hotel-casino co-worker “appeared happy and boastful,” and later said she thought she might be pregnant from the encounter. Antonetti made the remarks in a sworn statement attached to a motion to move the case from Reno to Minden, Nev.

“Rather than indicating that she was afraid or apprehensive about this, (the woman) expressed to me that she was hoping for a ‘little Rapelisberger,” said Antonetti, who worked with her at Harrah’s between 2006 and 2009.

Lawyer Cal Dunlap, who represents the woman, declined to comment Saturday.

“We’ll just deal with it in the lawsuit,” he said.

In her lawsuit, the 31-year-old Nevada woman says she was working as a VIP hostess during the tournament when the two-time Super Bowl winner raped her in a hotel penthouse across the street from the golf course—a claim he vehemently denies.

She also alleges Harrah’s officials orchestrated a cover-up, and worked to silence her and undermine her credibility rather than investigate her claims.

But the motion, filed by Rapelisberger’s Nevada lawyer John Echeverria, says her claims were an attempt to exploit his celebrity status and secure an “extortionate payday.”

Antonetti said the woman’s emotional collapse had nothing to do with a rape but resulted from a failed relationship with a married man and then a long-distance relationship that turned out to be a hoax.

Antonetti claims the woman became “very emotionally distraught” afterward, and took a leave of absence from Harrah’s.

Antonetti says she wanted “to set the record straight” after hearing about the claims against Rapelisberger.

I highly doubt Brokeback forced himself on a chick, but I don't know it for a fact. I also don't know who this Antonetti gal is either. Maybe she didn't get along with the accuser.........that's why they have trials or settle, but even then nothing is certain.

Either way, Brokey was pretty stupid for this encounter and the chick isn't even a total piece.

This is why you don't put yourself in that position, but nobody ever accused Big Gay of being overly intellectual.

Rapelisberger accuser allegedly bragged about sex

Secondly, women are very competitive and vengeful towards each other (which is sad). This new woman could just be jealous of the attention or something.

Yeah maybe, but I don't buy it. Why is it so hard to believe this chick is trying to extort money? I have heard some pretty wild stories to back up this Harrah's chick, and I don't buy any of them.

Really, a jealous women is backing up Ben on a rape charge?

Doesn't this just stink of Pittspuke bought testamony. Why is she surfacing now, so long after the lawsuite filing? Guess she had wait for the check to clear.

Because this is when the press got wind of it. She may have come forward a long time ago (immediately after the lawsuit) and Ben's lawyers needed to check everything out. Plus, I am sure this isn't only person coming forward. Her goose is cooked, IMO.

I could care less about him being a Steeler. He isn't married so he didn't cheat on his wife. He got laid and she is trying to get rich. F*ck her in the a$$. I hate c**ts like this.

Easy there big guy, you have no idea about this gal and what her intentions are. The same scenario you just said could work in reverse, she just found out about some chick she can't stand through the media claiming rape.

I've already said I doubt Brokey did this but it's not out of the realm of possibility and the accuser deserves to be treated with respect until this is resolved.

You're right. I guess her asking for $300-400K but not filing charges has my BS meter flyng high. I have all kinds of common sense questions that I can't get answered, so I will agree she deserves her day in court.

Rape ...come on I dont buy that. His history with women has Nothing in oit to indicate such a problem , he was a Man Whore and the Worst case scenario played out... question is . Will Ben grow the freak up ? I find it disturbing either way ...could you see this happening to Brady or P. Manning ? I dont like it regardless how it plays out.

Nice Try. The Pro Football Hall of Fame recognizes the AAFC as a major league, just like the AFL.

Or maybe in Pittsburgh the AFL never happened either ... since it was before 1972.

Zombo

--that was quite a minor league with Paul Brown, Otto Graham, Marion Motley, Loe Groza, Elroy Hirsch, Y.A. Tittle, Joe Perry, etc... too bad those guys weren't good enough for the NFL

In reality, during those days, it was the AAFC that was the major league and the NFL the minor league in comparison.

The AAFC had higher per game attendance records.

The AAFC paid its players better.

The AAFC had African-American players where the NFL didn't.

The AAFC team won the NFL title the first year it joined the league and the other teams from the AAFC did fairly well.

The only problem with the AAFC was that the Browns really were too good. Interest did begin to lag because all the other teams knew they had no real chance, so, lack of competitiveness caused it to suffer.

how bout this point? what about every good guy that has been unduely accused of rape and either got convicted of it or didn't and will have the title of "rapist" over their head for the rest of their lives?

you care about that at all?

guys, no matter if there is ZERO evidence to support the claim, are ALWAYS and FOREVER seen in a different light. this is the vindictive woman's best friend......the alleged rape.

i always thought the courts should have laws stating that "If any person, knowingly, brings a false charge of rape against another individual..........then they themselves will be sentenced to prison for the same amount of years that the accused faced".

that would definately keep gold digging tramps from making false claims.

oh, and just to let all you women know who may be reading this board......................."if a pro athlete wants you to accompany him to his room..........it's for sex" they don't looovvveee you, they aren't going to wife you, they don't want your baby, they aren't taking you up there to tell you their deepest secerets while you tell them yours, they don't want a relationship, they don't want to meet your parents, they don't want to even know your name.

all they want..............and listen to this closely women, so that if you find yourself in the wake of a pro athlete on his way up to his "presidential suite" you aren't shocked at what you find on the other side of the door.

all they want..............is a wet hole to pipe on.

plain and simple.

I hear what you are saying about sentencing the acuser.. but it's still utterly ridiculous. Here is why. ..The court decides if there is sufficent evidence to warrant a trial even BEFORE they even allow the trial..So that is already decided. If there is insufficient evidence..there would never even be a trial.. If the guy is found not guilty..that does not mean the charge is false.. only that the evidence cannot be proven BEYOND A REASONABLE DOUBT..that does not make the accuser guilty of bringing false charges..

This is a civil trial..there is no sentencing here.. it's just about proving the claim and the amount of settlement. If they find for Toothlessburger...does not make her a liar..only means the evidence was not convincing enough to find in favor for her.

It is already scary enough for women to step up and charge rape when they are really and truly raped because of how they are mistrated by the defense in a trial.. your rule would only make it more difficult for women who are truly raped to bring charges... That is part of the issue here..is that she was claiming she was coerced by her employer not to bring charges when it happened..

There is truth in some of this. The AAFC did have African American Players in it.

After that, the rest is laughable.

To suggest that the AAFC was the pre-eminent league is a joke. What happened to the New York Yankees, Buffalo Bisons, Miami Seahawks, Chicago Rockets, Los Angeles Dons and Brooklyn Dodgers? They folded. Within two years, most every team in the AAFC was losing money. The league was started by a group of men who had deeper pockets and yes, they paid their players more to compete with the NFL, but the league had a huge disparity in talent and teams were either very good or extremely bad. Basically, the Browns had no competition to legitimately match themselves up against.

Bottom line, when most of the league you play against can't even field a team and goes out of business, there isn't a whole lot of legitamacy about those "championships".

The NFL does not recognize accomplishments or records from the AAFC. The NFL is the league that exists today. These titles are not recognized as legitmate NFL Championships. And that is an undisputable fact.

But why not recognize the Browns' achievements, because they were the few of teams that were still left in the AAFC after it folded. That's the NFL saying F-U to my brownies!

In the words from After the Sunset, I'm Irish, and we let you know how we feel. Now F*** you, because what you say is Bullshizer. The leagues merged. During its reign the AAFC did all of what I said, had higher attendance, paid better salaries, had better players generally. And As I said, lack of competition with the Browns being so much better than everyone else was a problem. Hell! It was a problem with the NFL when the Browns came into that league....the Browns dominated the league as no other team has ever dominated it, appearing in 7 out of the next 8 title games. NO team before or since has done that. And EVERY legitimate entity, except perhaps 1 recognizes the AAFC titles.

You want to know why the NFL, which is the only one that doesn't, did not recognize them? Politics and jealousy!, Yes. Commissioner Bert Bell of the NFL KNEW the AAFC and the Browns were better. When the merger occurred, it was pure and simple jealousy that caused the NFL not to want to recognize them. Read up on it. THAT is an undisputable fact.

Many more franchises went belly up in the history of the NFL than did in the history of the AAFC.

And in a sense, the AAFC STILL exists in a form to this day. When the merger of 1950 occurred the NFL ...which by the way became officially known as the National-American Football League... broke into two conferences, the American Conference and the National Conference, just as they have today. Feeling that the name was too long, they dropped the "American" from the official name after a year. Also, later, at some point they converted to a Western and Eastern Conference, but the original AFC and NFC were as a result of the AAFC merger. They went back to it after the AFL merger, only a few short years later. The AFL was essentially simply a reformation of the AAFC with teams in many of the same markets: New York, Buffalo, Miami, etc..

Oh, and lastly, the ONLY reason the AAFC games and titles are not recognized by the NFL is because allegedly some of the original score sheets from AAFC games could not be located. There were various reportings of the stat and score sheets in any number of newspapers, but because the actual, physical copy of a few scoresheets were not available, the NFL said that they could not rely on the accuracy of data. Of course, this was pure pettiness on the part of Bert Bell because he had wanted to ignore the AAFC and the Browns altogether. You also have to remember, Bell was Commissioner as well as having an interest in the Philadelphia Eagles, who happened to be the reigning NFL champs and whom he believed to be superior to the Browns. Of course, that very first game of the 1950 season between the AAFC Champion Browns and the NFL Champions, which took place IN Philadelphia, resulted in a shellacking by the tune of 35-10 by the Browns over the Eagles. THAT pettiness, and nothing else is why the NFL didn't "recognize" the AAFC records of before. NO other reason.

A few other points on the AAFC:

Many of the innovations that were first adopted in the AAFC became NFL staples including:

the 14 game schedule

coast to coast teams. When the AAFC started, they included teams in LA and San Francisco, markets the NFL wouldn't try for. In fact, when the Browns were beginning, and essentially stealing ALL the fans of the Rams, who were defending NFL champions no less but who couldn't keep their fan base, the NFL at first refused to allow the Rams to flee to LA where the owner wanted to go. They also said he could not go to Dallas which was his second choice. Finally, Reeves threatened to remove the Rams from the NFL and move them into the AAFC if the NFL wouldn't let him move his team. After that threat, the NFL finally acquiesced and let Reeves go to LA so they could at least compete with the AAFC in that market.

Air travel. The AAFC traveled by plane while the NFL still went by train. (maybe this was the root of some money troubles)

Zone defenses, face masks, film study, messenger guards. These of course were all Paul Brown innovations only much later picked up by other teams.

Also, FYI the 3 AAFC teams that joined the NFL (including the reconstituted Colts) have won 13 NFL titles in the ensuing years. You may be hard pressed to find 3 extant NFL teams from 1950 to have won that many. About the only 3 team combination I can think of is the Packers/Steelers/Giants.

Yeah that AAFC was a pussy league, so much so that the first game played by the "expansion team" Browns in the NFL was against the previous years NFL Champs Philadelphia. Everyone was predicting a huge blow out - and it was, only Cleveland won 35-10 in an ass beating. They won the NFL Title their very first year, and then played 2-3 more title games in a row.

I remember reading somewhere about the Rams coach getting his ass handed to him by Brown their first game, and he whined that all the Browns could do was pass, so Brown ran the ball every play the next game and kicked their ass again.

...........cont'd

Earlier this week, Rapelisberger lawyer W. David Cornwell provided The Associated Press and other news outlets with 18 pages of e-mails and texts purportedly between the 31-year-old woman and a male friend that Cornwell said prove she was not assaulted.

In one written less than 24 hours after the alleged rape, the woman writes about how much she has enjoyed entertaining the celebrities and VIPs.

Earlier this month, Rapelisberger's lawyers filed a motion for a change of venue and attached to it an affidavit from the accuser's former friend and Harrah's co-worker Angela Antonetti.

Antonetti said the woman who made the rape claim "did not appear to be upset, stressed-out or nervous" about her time with Rapelisberger rather she "appeared happy and boastful" and later said she thought she might be pregnant from the encounter.

Dunlap said in his new motion that the affidavit was "unrelated and wholly irrelevant" to the question of whether the trial should be moved closer to Lake Tahoe.

"The clear intent of both filings is to intimidate the plaintiff and dissuade her from pursuing her rights in court in this very serious matter," Dunlap wrote. He said it also was an attempt to persuade him to "abandon plaintiff and her case or risk personal liability."

"This conduct not only warrants discipline and sanctions, but warrants denial of the privilege of practicing law in the state of Nevada," he said.

Cornwell said in an e-mail to AP on Friday that the affidavit and e-mails prove the woman knew -- and that Dunlap knew or should have known -- that her allegations were false.

"This evidence was available to Mr. Dunlap before the scurrilous complaint was filed," he said. "If Mr. Dunlap feels `bullied' because he has to confront compelling evidence, especially (the woman's) contemporaneous statements and conduct, so be it."

This one is just about over, folks. And I said it from the very beginning - this bitch is a liar. Plain and simple. All of these emails and not one - zero - that she sent to someone describing the alleged assault. Not one. Plenty of happy go lucky emails after the alleged assault, but none about it.

I hope she finds mental help soon. And I hope BR keeps the heat on her, and I will have fun watching this dickhead lawyer of hers going down in flames.

Filthy bitch.
