Legacy Fan
Beanie Leg Injury Glad we passed on Wells, as his durability was a concern for me and others on the board, but sad to hear the guy got injured.
cambridgeho
Big surprise there, but you know he always played with his injuries. He will be back in a week.
Legacy Fan
Yeah. Also - how nice is it that all of our rooks are signed and in camp? Anybody still wishing we had selected Crabtree? Not me. from the article: San Francisco general manager Scot McCloughan raised both hands up in the air as if to say he had no guess, either. "Nothing new," McCloughan said. Ouch. BigBrownsFan
Sooooooo glad we passed on Crabman.... So glad we passed on Beanie too..... too injury prone and it took what? Two hours for that to reveal itself again? No thanks. Glad to see he lost weight though. He was starting to look like a linebacker reporting after the draft at 248.... dencyguy
I'd say it kind of depends on the injury before saying, "See? He's injury-prone." A guy who sprains his ankle three times a year is injury prone. A guy who sprains his ankle then tears his ACL is another case. I guess I'm just a little sensitive to the whole "injury prone" thing after watching the Ken Griffey thing in Cincinnati. He would go out there, try to make a play, tear his hamstring, and the callers would line up right after the game to whine about the Reds signing a guy "who just can't stay healthy." Dennis Cincinnati fans suck. Not really Browns/football related in this case, but they sure do.

As far as Beanie goes, he was constantly getting dinged at OSU, so- first day of training camp, and he's dinged again. There's a trend developing there Dennis. Personally, I'm glad we passed on him. lemosley01
Whisenhunt says it is an ankle sprain but shouldn't be serious. Did Wells have several sprains while at OSU?
Guest Aloysius
Beanie reinjures his ankle Posted by Mike Florio on August 19, 2009 6:04 AM ET Cardinals rookie running back Chris "Beanie" Wells, the 31st overall pick in the 2009 draft, injured his ankle on the same day he signed his rookie contract. Wells recently returned to practice. On Tuesday night, however, Wells reinjured the ankle. Per Mike Jurecki of XTRA Sports 910 in Phoenix, Wells said he was "OK" -- but his status for the team's next preseason game, on Saturday night against the Chargers, remains undecided. Wells missed the preseason opener last week against the Steelers. According to Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic, Wells had seemed to be favoring the ankle since returning to practice. Wells faced durability questions, and his current status is doing nothing to provide an answer other than, "Maybe he isn't."
Guest AdaM
They need to hold him out and let his ass completely heal, then get ready for next year.
choco
or waive him and get someone who wants to play.
Legacy Fan
Good grief. I feel bad for him, but still glad we passed. Hopefully his personal life doesn't follow Clarrett's, because his NFL career is sure starting to.
Riffer X
I was told by his pee wee coach that he has genetically weak ankles. Guy saw me at the gas station with OSU gear on, we started bsing and he started telling me all about how he coached him from a young age on and is a friend of the family. His biggest concern was his ankles holding up. That was almost 3 years ago or abouts.
