Mr. T
Angry protesters shouted down Democrats at public events from Texas to Pennsylvania over the weekend, leaving the party only one real hope for getting its message out over recess: a backlash. Mr. T
I wouldn't be suprised that the Democrats call off the remaining Town hall meetings that are scheduled to take place over the August recess to sell their Socialist Healthcare bill. To many americans are struggling financially, and they are strapped trying to find enough cash to make ends meet. Americans in whole are pissed off that congress and Obama have bailed out Wall street to the point that they can declare a false bull market. definition here! while many are still Unemployed or Underemployed. And they dont want higher taxes nor do they want higher energy bills. Is the US economy close to recovery? : Most experts and commentators are of the view that the worst of the US recession may be over by year's end. However, the so-called recovery is a monetary illusion based on government-constructed economic indicators, nothing more than that ARTICLE Read it Here! calfoxwc
Sure, Heck, but in real life, that isn't what any of us do. I wrote a detailed email to Congressman Brown of Ohio. I got a pretty good letter back from his office. That is real life. If you can't tell the difference, read a lot more of Steve's posts and learn. You think being booed and railed at for Obama's screwups and the Congressional leftists' screw-ups is a good thing? Why not just go back in time and predict the Nazis will become more popular instead of despised all over the world? Fool. T is exactly right. It's decent Americans who don't like nor want what the radical left is giving out, and trying to do. American backlash. The pendulum swings one way, then the other way, because DECENT AMERICANS want the ship to sail on the proper path.

calfoxwc
Gingrich does a nice respectable job of protesting... ****************************************** August 5, 2009 | Vol. 4, No. 31 Listen to Barney Frank or Listen to America? President Obama's Big Choice by Newt Gingrich America is sending President Obama a message. By asking questions at town hall meetings and answering questions from pollsters, Americans are telling President Obama that they don't trust big government plans for health care. At the same time, liberals in Congress are pushing for big government plans for health care. And so President Obama faces a choice: He can listen to the American people. Or he can listen to Barney Frank. Put it another way: President Obama can choose to fight his leftwing, or he can choose to fight the country. It's his choice. And he has to make it by September.
In Town Halls and Polls, Americans Are Sending a Message
The August congressional break is a good time for first year presidents to take stock; to assess the first seven months of their presidency and determine if they are on the right track or if they need to make a fundamental change in strategy. This August break, Americans are sending President Obama and his surrogates a clear message on health care reform. At town hall meetings in Austin, Philadelphia and at this remarkably contentious meeting in New York, Americans are expressing deep skepticism and distrust of Democratic health plans. And in five polls released in just 24 hours last week, more Americans expressed disapproval of the president's health reform plan than approval, a majority voiced increasing distrust of the president and Congress on the issue, and a large majority said they believed health care legislation was likely to ultimately raise their costs and reduce their freedom to choose their own doctor.
Barney Frank is Sending Him a Message Too
But if America has a message for President Obama, Rep. Barney Frank (D-Mass.) is telling him something as well. Maybe you saw this video in which Rep. Frank states plainly that the so-called public option in the House health reform bill is just step one in a strategy to create a single-payer, government monopoly health system. And it's not just Rep. Frank. Henry Waxman, Pete Stark and Charlie Rangel have a message for the president too.
Current House Committee Chairs are More to the Left Than Any Time In History
In a Democratic caucus that is to the left of America, the most powerful committee chairmen in the House - just like House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) - are to the left of the majority of Democrats. This study by RealClearPolitics shows that the current House committee chairmen are more liberal than the Democratic rank and file than at any time in history. Time and partisan drawing of districts have elevated a group of liberal congressmen, who were first elected over 30 years ago in response to Watergate and the Vietnam War, to the most powerful positions in the House. Rep. Henry Waxman (D-Calif.), chairman of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, was elected to Congress in 1975. Rep. Charlie Rangel (D-N.Y.), the chairman of the all-powerful House Ways and Means Committee, entered Congress in 1971. Rep. Pete Stark (D-Calif.), chairman of the health subcommittee of Ways and Means, was elected in 1971. And Rep. Barney Frank (D-Mass.), chairman of the Financial Services Committee, has been in Congress since 1981.
The Last Hurrah for Liberal Committee Chairman?
After over 30 years of service, these hard-left members of Congress see their last chance to transform our health care system from a largely private system to a government-run system. That's why they attacked the fiscally conservative Blue Dog Democrats for objecting to the high taxing, big government provisions of the House health care bill. And it's why they are pressuring President Obama not to compromise now. They have power and they have clout. And if America is telling President Obama to slow down and reconsider his health reform plans, these powerful House committee chairmen are telling him to go full speed ahead, never mind what the people think.
The Stimulus Was a Pay-Off to Politicians. Now the Same Politicians Want Your Health Care
President Obama and liberal Democrats in the House are contemplating raising taxes on small businesses to pay for their health plan at a time when we're approaching 10 percent unemployment. And at a time when Federal Reserve officials are projecting below average job growth for the next five years. It is warnings like this from the Federal Reserve that have convinced Americans that the much-hyped $787 billion stimulus bill has failed. The stimulus bill was a pay-off to politicians, not an engine of economic growth. Americans know this, which is why they don't trust these same politicians with their health care.
President Obama's Moment of Decision
President Obama faces a choice. There are individuals and groups that stand ready to work with him to forge bipartisan solutions on the nation's most pressing domestic challenges. At American Solutions we stand ready to help develop a bipartisan, pro-small business economic growth plan that could be passed when Congress returns in September. At the Center for Health Transformation we stand ready to develop a bipartisan, market-based health reform plan that delivers more choices of high quality health care at a lower cost - without raising taxes. Will President Obama hear the message of the American people and work with centrists -- even though it will cause his leftwing to attack him? Or will he listen to Senator Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) and ram through the programs that have the support of the Left but are opposed by the country? It's his choice. Mr. T
A reply from friend on this subject. Are we being Lied to? Until those who spue those soft words of hope swallow the first water as their ship slowly sinks into the sea........Even then they tell us all is well and the pumps will soon start working, as the decks become awash in the sea water. And the band plays on and shuffle board becomes hard to play as the deck lean sharply to the angle of a sinking ship..........Only then will the people wake as the cold sea pricks their body and then they will realize the ship has sunk, no matter what they were told, the ship has sunk.........that is when the will realize they have been lied too........ calfoxwc
Well, "paranoia" refers to an irrational fear, meaning there's no reason to it. But, when you have a pres who had a communist mentor admittedly, taught Saul Alinski's "Rules for Radicals" in college, has a racist, hatemongering pastor for many years as a close mentor, was close friends with two famous weathermen, got his early start in politics from Bill Ayer's wealthy father, ... and the pres has a dim view of the Constitution, and Holder thinks little of the 2nd Amendment, and has seriously broken several promises he made during the campaign, ... and works to be friends with Muslim countries, but puts demands on Israel to make serious concessions, and he is friendly with Chavez, and strongly supports Selaya in his bid to use the military to force a referendum on his ability to defy their consititution provision on term limits.... it isn't "paranoia" that we fear he REALLY is up to no good. And, it also isn't "paranoia" to fear you voted for someone who should never have been elected as pres !

Mr. T
hippie or crank? whatever you want to label them that is fine, just remember that if the people are not represented then somebody is going to loose their job. And I would imagine there are several who stand right along with the hippies & cranks and would show up and support what is happening. Maybe Team Obama can unleash his civilian security force out there to protect his socialist buddies from being asked hard questions like why are you helping out Wall Street and not Main Street. Mr. T
Don't worry. I don't think these people are going to burn down the housing in which they live and start looting local business' the way some groups do whenever they get upset. Well the next group of people who have just been hired to sit in on the town hall meetings will burn down houses. The DNC released an ad yesterday attacking town hall attendees as angry mobs, giving out the Republican National Committee (RNC) phone number to call and complain. The RNC responded by including on their main phone menu an option to press one to voice concerns about issues raised in the DNC ad -- which then forwarded the calls to the DNC switchboard. The winner of clueless statement of the day yesterday, Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-Ca.), actually said the people attending these town halls were too well dressed to be legitimate. Go figure. She’s from ritzy Marin County. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Ca.) accused these average, everyday Americans of being crazy, fanatical, swastika-wearing frauds. That’ll go over big with voters. The President yesterday accused the town hall attendees of “manufactured outrage.” On the White House website the administration put together a KGB-style operation asking people to forward emails they may get “about health insurance reform that seems fishy.” Fishy? If I were paranoid I’d think they were compiling an enemies list. Apparently still unable to transition from campaign mode to governance, Obama fell back yesterday on the one thing he really knows: community organizing. He sent out an email to his myrmidons attempting to drum up fake, Astroturf support for his government takeover of healthcare. Obama looked a great deal like Al Gore calling the AFL-CIO begging for a rent-a-mob at the Vice President’s mansion in the wake of the 2000 elections. “This is the moment our movement was built for,” Obama said in his mass e-mail marching orders. And if all that wasn’t yet statist enough, former Clinton administration hack Lanny Davis harkened back to the days of Clinton White House FBI files and IRS audits of their enemies. Davis demanded yesterday that protesters be photographed and investigated. The next thing you know, some unidentified White House staffer will hire back Craig Livingstone. Mr. T
WHY THE LEFT IS ATTACKING HEALTH SCHEME OPPONENTS What explains the lockstep, attack-mode liberal campaign against FreedomWorks and Tea Party Patriots? Well, we have them on the ropes. We are using Saul Alinsky against them and out organizing them. They can’t stand the fact that real Americans are showing up at townhall meetings and demanding that elected officials listen to them for once. When you move the country toward socialism at such a rate, and bail out failed companies, raise taxes, explode the deficits and demonize millions of Americans, what do you expect their response to be? I am not a fan of shouting anyone down or using the tactics that ACORN and the thuggish unions use. But I am a fan of local activists who are organizing their neighbors and friends to get them to meetings so that they can speak up, Speak Out and put their elected officials on the spot. Its funny that the community organizer in chief is now afraid of the very thing that got him elected: Article
