PLEASE WATCH THE SEGMENT.

The man is completely owning his mistake, cooperated fully and even seemed completely lucid during his 911 call. This situation was most certainly an unavoidable accident, it's just a damn shame he had alcohol in his system, and he'll pay because of that. But to target him as a bad person or a low-character guy is plain wrong.

Quite a difference from Leonard Little et al.

Keep in mind I don't necessarily like DS as a WR for us, but I think he deserves to have A job...

I agree. This guy has been getting lambasted for drinking and driving and to a point, should be. However, he was not over the limit by much and this happened in the early a.m. This leads me to believe that after a night of drinking he probably stayed behind or stayed over somewhere to sober up (or get lucky) and headed home in the early morning. I'm sure there are plenty of us out there who have been in similar situations where we took time to sober up but probably would have still blown over the 'legal' limit.

I understand that this is a potentially flammable topic but from my point of view and what I've heard and deciphered, the poor guy that was hit jetted out in front of a speeding car not near a crosswalk. If he had done the same thing in front of a sober driver, I'm not sure the result would have changed much. It's probably a large part of why his sentence was so light. Because after HEARING ALL THE FACTS and NOT MAKING PRE-JUDGEMENTS, the legal system ran its course and reacted appropriately.

Those that claim he's getting off too lightly are doing so without knowing all the facts and are more concerned with their own agenda. He's shown great remorse and has not backed down one bit from this tragedy. I just wish people would give him a break. If it were your son or daughter that was out the night before and hit someone coming home in the morning you might think differently.

That being said, I don't want the scrub playing WR for the Cleveland Browns anymore. Never liked him as a player and never will. But I do have much more respect for him as a man today.

More specifically, some folks just like seeing "advantaged" folks rot.

That's it. I got gang up on big time on my Facebook page, where everybody has the morals of an angel. Not one person could compete with the facts I was putting out there they finally would just get mad and say "if it was you it would be different" and I would say if it was me I'd want treated fairly, much like DS.

The moral majority is like a witch hunt on this, but now everybody is shut up about it.

i may be a Reigning World Champion Pittsburgh Steeler fan, but i know a good guy from a bad guy when i see them and Mr. Stallworth is a good guy. the man wasn't even at a crosswalk and darted in front of Stallworth.......it could have happened to anyone at anytime. the man has paid his due to society and i believe he has also paid it to the NFL by means of being as legitimately humble, remorseful, and classy as he has been while dealing with this situation.

LET HIM PLAY!
