fuck someone lock this thread and throw into trash

Ya gotta have patience,  it will die on it's own. At the risk of resurrecting a guy who  was the #1 Saquon Barkley pumper ever. The OP is convinced Rodgers + Browns - Baker = multiple Super Bowl wins. I don't think so, but let the poor guy have his fantasy.  :)

Cap aside... I'd make the OP's move in a heartbeat.

Love Baker, but if you want to have a realistic shot at winning it all now, then you want one of the 3 best QBs in the game today under Center.

Of course... the cap says, "Nope... ain't gonna happen."

Plus Rogers prolly says, "Nope," as well...

The "North Coast" ain't the West Coast... or at least near it.

Cap aside... I'd make the OP's move in a heartbeat.  48 TD's.  5 INT's.  71% completion percentage.  Prime of life Rodgers.  Back to Davante?  Figure out the DNASTY.  DYNASTY.

1) The CAP isn't an "aside" it's some reality that you're not dealing with very well...

2)  You're talking out your ass... A DYNASTY is measured over a decade FYI.  Rodgers will not be playing in ten years.....  AND CERTAINLY NOT FOR THE BROWNS....

Rodgers to Davante right now is a magic connection.  No chemistry with Bake and OBJ.  Am I wrong?

Hmm.

Magic is something that isn't normal.

2020: 115 rec, 1374 yds, 18 TDs

2019: 83 rec, 997 yds, 5 TDs

2018: 111 rec, 1386 yds, 13 TDs

2017: 74 rec, 885 yds, 10 TDs

2016: 75 rec, 997 yds, 12 TDs

2015: 50 rec, 483 yds, 1 TD

2014: 38 rec, 446 yds, 3 TDs

2020: T2, T5, 1st

2019: 18th, 30th, T44

2018: T6, 7th, T2

2017: T19, 23rd, T2

2016: T28, 26th, T2

2015 and 2014: Not going that far down on the list

There is absolutely ZERO question that Rodgers is better than Baker and Adams is better than OBJ.

BUT, this magic you want to point to equates to:

0 Super Bowls

0 NFC Championships

A playoff record of:

And these playoff stats for Adams:

2014: 2 games (8, 124, 1)

2015: 1 game (4, 48, 1)

2016: 3 games (16, 217, 3)

2017: N/A

2018: N/A

2019: 2 Games (17, 298, 2)

2020: 2 Games (18, 133, 2)

And a playoff record of 5-5.

So is AR a Top 3 QB in NFL, Yes. Is DA a Top 5 WR in NFL, you betcha. Do they together result in a dynasty? Obviously not.

And that doesn't factor in $$$, doesn't factor in the reduction of players to fit them on the team because of salary, and that doesn't factor in the additional compensation needed.

But what do we expect from someone who went on and on about how Kareem Hunt was the best RB in league and most talented RB ever, is going to the HOF, and that he would easily win comeback POY after missing HALF the previous season with suspension (and played rest of year).

Kareem Hunt is great.  Davante Adams is great.  Let's go from there.

We did not need another ridiculous thread.

I'm on the verge of locking this one Tex.... We have a Madden GM who won't give up. Would having Rodgers be a (slight) upgrade this year? Yes. But someone here isn't thinking long term. Unlike Andrew Berry- who IS. On top of that, totally ignoring the cap consequences of what adding a $37 million cap hit would do to the team- like mean the departure of several key Browns- because we can't fit them AND Rodgers under the cap. Finally, you can't rationally try and say Rodgers is going to have another 6 productive seasons- like the mother of all QB outliers- Tom Brady has had.

BTW- just having a HOF qb on your roster doesn't guarantee multiple Super Bowl wins- just ask Dan Fouts or Dan Marino about that.  :)

Both teams had great offenses, but shit defenses.

Money doesn't matter to guys like Brady and Rodgers.  Davante for OBJ makes this offense perfect.

First off-  Mr. Madden GM- Green Bay isn't trading Adams for OBJ straight up- not with Beckham coming off that ACL.

Secondly, I'll let you buy a clue...  Brady is a unique situation- outside of his amazing ability to cheat Father Time. His wife probably makes more money than he does....  Lotsa luck if you think Rodgers can do a repeat longevity  performance on that account. To my knowledge, no other QB  has come close to matching Brady's performance on the high side of 40. George Blanda made it that far- when he gave up being a QB, and turned to kicking field goals instead.  FWIW, Roethlisberger is one year older than Rodgers- and about everyone here thinks he's running on fumes. That's the norm for QBs, don't try using Brady as the exception that proves the rule.

So I'll answer the clue for you why Rodgers probably wants out of Green Bay. It's odds on he's not happy being only around the 12th highest paid player in the NFL. He's Jonesying for a big fat raise. Which incidentally, the Browns would have no way of paying- short of totally gutting the offense.

We all know that when Davante and Aaron show up here, 3 to 4 SB appearances and at least 2 SB wins are locked in.  Top that, Berry.

Name the players you'll cut to make cap in 2021.  Not in theory - what's their names and salaries?  Hint: At present, after rookies are signed, we'll be right at the cap.

The OL? Nope, need that to keep the geriatric, immobile, brittle Rodgers upright.  The rest of the WR corps? Nope -- Davante gets no catches in triple coverage. The defense? Last year's D barely made the playoffs, and your plan is.. to make it worse?

The only thing we all know is that every one of your posts in this forum will be mocked and ignored long after Zombo closes this thread.  Top that, Icecube.
