Mr. T
Thank god we didn't get this guy as our GM, Scott Pioli Just 1 day before camp starts and his bags are all packed and he is ready to go, Barth gets cut by Pioli one of his leading kicker candidates for the Chiefs, and for no reason at all. That will help the KC player personel dept. Agonizing over Kickers Aug 28, 2008, 4:16:04 AM Barth 2008 He actually took over for the injured Novak after both had tremendous camps and Novak was injured during the regular season. Barth exploded on the phone and said I will never play for you. But all is well in Miami for Barth. Barth in Miami I guess it sucks when your replace by "Mr. Irrelevant" even without a competition. I can remember him in HS he played on my sons team, what a great kid and a great family. When he would kickoff, half of the time the ball would be kicked through the uprights. The ball fell short of landing in the endzone maybe only one time. You want to talk about dedication, this guy would practice daily. He was self motivated and his own coach. The young man would catch almost every kicking camp he could go to for instruction. BrownIndian
Im glad we did not get Pilo for GM, or Josh Mc Daniels or Rex Ryan as Head coach. This job surely requires an experienced head coach and someone with a clear idea and vision.
Guest Aloysius
Huh? Last year, Barth missed two field goals in the Chiefs' 22-21 loss to the Chargers. Pioli drafts a replacement, then cuts Barth when he decides he needs to use his roster spot for another player. I don't see what's the big deal. Maybe it wasn't the nicest thing to hold onto a guy until right before camp, but the idea is to field the best team possible, not to be nice to guys who aren't going to make the team. Just look at how Mangini & Ko are bringing guys in & out. It's the same philosophy: always look for guys who can make the team better.
Guest mz.
This is how we evaluate a GM, T??? I heard Kokinis offers a foot massage and a blow job after he releases a player...
Guest mz.
The NFL's a cruel place, T. Not everyone is guaranteed a piece of the pie, like under some Socialist regime. That's not what you want, is it?
Kosar_For_President
He's a hometown boy (wilmington, nc) so T took exception. NO, he was inquiring about the foot rub....
Kingphisher
IT's......A......Kicker!!!! Who Cares? I would't evaluate a GM on how he releases a kicker. I'll bet he's not dumb enough to get into a 4 letter word war with a fan like our last GM did. Good riddance Savage!
Mr. T
Wouldnt it make since to go into a season with someone who has a little experience? Dawson's FG percantage is 82.8 vs Barth at 83.0 And Barth gets cut for Mr who? "Mr. Irrelevant" Sucks to be a kicker!

Last year, Barth ranked 46th in the league in yards per kickoff (58.6). So far this preseason, Ryan "Mr. Irrelevant" Succop has averaged 72.2 yards per kickoff, which is 3rd best in the league. So then you are saying succop "Mr. Irrelevant" is better than any kicker we have? Unless you need a knuckle ball kick in a blizzard.
