Wills is out this game.

I also saw Anthony Walker officially reactivated, and DE Joe Jackson signed to the practice squad and elevated to active for this game, and S Jovante Moffatt also elevated to active for this game.

From a Chargers Beat Writer…“The pressure from Minnesota’s edge-rushing duo of Everson Griffin and Danielle Hunter were key in limiting the passing game and keeping the Browns offense to just 14 points. I like the idea of copying the Vikings’ game plan to a degree as I feel rather confident in that if the Chargers can keep the Browns from scoring more than 14 points as well”

I don’t think I watched the same game- The Vikings pass rush…was non existent the times we went way down field and just misfired.

Two of the three said it was a bad matchup but all three predicted 24-20 wins.  One said that the  Chargers force teams to run on them.  Okay lol.

20 pressures and 3 sacks.  Yeah, the vikes dline had a good day.

And as for the chargers "forcing" teams to run - I cannot stress this enough... they "invite" the run.  There is a reason they've held great passing offenses to well below their season averages in a pass heavy NFL.

That explains the Chiefs game but not the Cowboys game when the run fills were weak.  I recall you being somewhat excited about the this matchup prior to Monday Night.  Nevertheless I like the fact that we will make them change the way they play on a short week.

I saw a lot of Baker indecisiveness leading to the pressure he received.  Looked like he had time on those air mailed balls

It perfectly explains the Cowboys game.  Dak went for 408 the week before and 238 the week after when Dallas was just sitting on the lead.

The Cowboys can run the ball and if McCarthy is actually patient enough could have rolled up 2bills between Zeke and Pollard.    Tony hit the 100+ mark.

That's sort of the idea it looks like. The best teams you're facing all have QB's and coaches that want to push the ball downfield and use the running game as a secondary focus... if that.   Why not force offenses to play patient with 21, 22 and certain 11-12 personnel? It's the same basic idea of how the browns and ravens played the chiefs this year.  Only KC made the offensive moves and had the pass rush connect on their week.

The 2000's colts were a great pass rushing defense built to play 2 high and with leads.  They often fell apart in the playoffs when they faced teams that could actually attack their IDL and slow down Freeney and Mathis.   03, 04, 05, 07 with Darren Sproles nuking them?

It's not a concept without some history to point at.
