Back to Week 6,  would you believe that all four AFCN teams are favorites ?  Well just look for yourself they are.

I'm trying to remember when all four were favorites, all dogs oh yeah.    https://www.vegasinsider.com/nfl/odds/las-vegas/?s=974

Um RE: being favored...  Georgia would probably be favored against the Lions.  :D Guess we have to root for the Colts tonight.

After the Bills beatdown last night- can the Chiefs make the playoffs? Winning their division probably isn't going to happen.

Let's take a closer look at our BROWNS could they be 5-0 probably they led late in all five,  but they are 3-2 and have to go on from there.

They were favored in two, dogs in two, one even those are just the numbers.  Whatever happens next they will be a good team to watch.  :)

GO BROWNS !

And from the NFL injury report from Monday October 11....... It just keeps growing.

A Week 6 return could be on the docket for Christian McCaffrey.

Carolina Panthers coach Matt Rhule told reporters on Monday that he's "hopeful" the star running back will play this week against the Vikings. CMC has been out of action since sustaining a hamstring injury in Week 3 against the Texans.

A return in Week 5 seemed imminent after McCaffrey logged a week of limited practices prior to Carolina's date with the Eagles. He was eventually listed as doubtful on the injury report before being deemed inactive prior to kickoff. The Panthers went on to drop that game, 21-18.

  • return but did not.
  • Indianapolis Colts cornerback Xavier Rhodes limped off the field and headed to the locker room in the fourth quarter versus the Ravens. He did not return.
  • Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields underwent tests Monday on the left knee he hyperextended on Sunday and he should be good to go, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported.
  • Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster could have played his final snap in Pittsburgh. Smith-Schuster will undergo season-ending shoulder surgery, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported. Smith-Schuster suffered the shoulder injury last in the second quarter of the Steelers' 27-19 victory over the Broncos. The injury is brutal, as JuJu was hoping a big season would lead to a hefty payday in 2022. Now, he might be forced to take another one-year prove-it deal if the injury indeed ends his season.
  • San Francisco 49ers quarterback Trey Lance suffered a left knee sprain and underwent an MRI on Tuesday, coach Kyle Shanahan told reporters. Lance will be reevaluated at the end of the week. Shanahan said Lance's knee injury would be a a one- to two-week injury at worst, but his status for the 49ers' Week 7 matchup versus the Indianapolis Colts is up in the air. The 49ers are on their bye in Week 6.
  • Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow checked out fine after visiting a local hospital last night to be evaluated for a potential throat contusion, Rapoport reported. Burrow was released from the hospital last night and is expected to be OK. Coach Zac Taylor confirmed Burrow is back in the building and in "good shape." Linebacker Jordan Evans (knee) was placed on injured reserve while guard Jackson Carman and running back Samaje Perine were placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list.
  • Miami Dolphins coach Brian Flores said he's hoping quarterback Tua Tagovailoa will practice this week after throwing today. Tagovailoa has been on IR since Sept. 25 after sustaining fractured ribs in Week 2.
  • Detroit Lions receiver Quintez Cephus suffered a broken collarbone Sunday, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported. Cephus is slated to undergo surgery to repair the potentially season-ending injury and is facing a three-month recovery, Pelissero added.
  • New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones is in concussion protocol, coach Joe Judge said. The team won't know his status until later this week and the Giants are still evaluating running back Saquon Barkley's ankle injury. Wide receiver Kenny Golladay (knee) is expected to miss this week and possibly the next, a source tells Rapoport. Considering the initial fear was a major knee injury, Golladay's diagnosis is a sigh of relief in New York, Rapoport adds. Giants defensive back Rodarius Williams also suffered a torn ACL in his right knee on Sunday, Pelissero reported. His season is likely finished.
  • Los Angeles Rams cornerback Darious Williams (ankle) won't be available for Week 6 versus the Giants and could be placed on short-term injured reserve, per coach Sean McVay.
  • Tampa Bay Buccaneers linebacker Lavonte David will miss Thursday's game against the Eagles after suffering a low-ankle sprain in Sunday's win. David, who is expected to miss some time, will be considered week-to-week following Week 6. Tom Brady sustained a thumb injury against the Dolphins but isn't expected to be hindered, per Rapoport. Brady was listed as limited in the team injury report. Jason Pierre-Paul also suffered a notable hand injury in Week 5, telling reporters that he has a fractured finger on his right hand that split "into two pieces." He was limited in the team's injury report, as well. Tight end Rob Gronkowski (ribs) has missed the last two games and it will be "very close" on him being able to play Thursday against the Eagles, head coach Bruce Arians said Monday. Arians added it's possible safety Antoine Winfield Jr. could play after missing a game in concussion protocol. Gronkowski did not participate in Monday's practice, while Winfield was limited. Wide receiver Chris Godwin (knee/ankle) was also listed as limited.
  • Philadelphia Eagles offensive tackle Jordan Mailata (knee) was listed as a limited participant for Monday, while defensive end Derek Barnett (ankle), tight end Dallas Goedert (illness), offensive tackle Lane Johnson (personal reasons) and center Jason Kelce (foot/rest) were all DNPs.
  • Green Bay Packers left tackle David Bakhtiari (ACL) is eligible to return to practice next week but Matt LaFleur didn't share the team's plans for Aaron Rodgers' blindside protector. "He's chomping at the bit to get back out there, too," LaFleur said, per The Athletic.
  • Kansas City Chiefs guard Joe Thuney will undergo more tests Monday on a fractured hand suffered in Sunday's loss to the Bills, Rapoport reported. Thuney broke his hand on the game's first series and played the entire game with it in a cast. Running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire suffered an MCL sprain and is out for a few weeks, Rapoport reported, per sources familiar with the situation.
  • Houston Texans left tackle Laremy Tunsil suffered a torn UCL in his thumb against the Patriots, Rapoport reported. The hope is that Tunsil can put off surgery, which he'll eventually need, until after the season and continue playing through the injury, Rapoport added.
  • New England Patriots running back Damien Harris is day-to-day after being limited with rib and chest injuries against Houston, Rapoport reported. Further testing ruled out anything significant.
  • Cleveland Browns rookie linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, who sustained a throat contusion versus the Chargers and was taken to an LA hospital after the game, was released from the hospital last night, Rapoport reported. JOK was cleared to travel to Cleveland this morning.
  • Arizona Cardinals tight end Maxx Williams is feared to have suffered a major, season-ending right knee injury on Sunday, Rapoport reported. Williams was carted off after getting injured in the second quarter.
  • Las Vegas Raiders coach Jon Gruden said guard Richie Incognito (calf) is aiming to make his return following the team's Week 8 bye.
  • Jacksonville Jaguars linebacker Myles Jack has an oblique injury and will be day-to-day, per coach Urban Meyer.
  • The Seattle Seahawks activated tight end Gerald Everett off the reserve/COVID-19 list, Pelissero reported per the transaction wire.

And WEEK 7 THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL on Thursday October 20 is just a week away.  Yes the BROWNS can't  look ahead and have to concentrate on Arizona and a good team with a good exciting quarterback and CLE -3 will have their hands full........but we can !!   🙂

Right now Cleveland is a 6 point favorite at home over Denver,  the under/over is about 44.5.  They then close the 3 game home stretch before going on to WEEK 9 at Cincinnati and then NE both 1 pm games.

It's simple beat AZ and then they should be a nice -6 or -7 favorite against Denver and set them up nicely against long time WEEK 8 old rival Pittsburgh....... and the season will be about half gone.  Time sure flies when you're having fun !

GO BROWNS,  beat Arizona and then move on.......baby !

Healthy? I'd take the Browns.  Injury report will tell.

I'm 4-1 on the season (blew the Vikings game) and I have a very strange feeling we're not just going to win, but we're going to put it ON them. I know that doesn't make sense, but I feel it. First game where offense, defense, and special teams all play well. We're getting a defensive TD or special teams score, it's time.

And in the FWIW department the line is still CLE -3 across the board plus next Thursday night CLE -6 hosting DEN just a week away.

I like CLE -3 but it would be better if a few more hands were on deck and ready to play, AZ is still the only 5-0 team left in the NFL.  A strange number going into WEEK 6 I think the 72 Dolphins are really safe that might end this Sunday starting at 4:05.  :)

Not touching this if the injury report doesn't clear up.  Will likely hammer the over, weather permitting.

A lot of those things (wx, injuries, etc) are the game day and game time decisions when it comes to wagering. Most bets and picks I know by Tuesday or Wednesday of any week.

Field conditions and late scratches can alter that  -but-  sometimes I bet early and maybe bet against late to take advantage of the lines or call off a bet and you only risk the 10% vig at most and occasionally (rarely) hit the middle.  I've bet for over 40+ years and mainly for the fun of it, remember you never bet the rent and grocery money........ unless you like to be wet and hungry.   ;)

I've become more patient over the last year or so when locking in my wagers.  Injury reports are a huge deal, every bit as much as the lines themselves.  For example I saw a last second injury report for the giants on Sunday and, despite the fact the talking heads said the gmen defense would keep it close, I went in heavy on Cowboys to cover.  Worked a treat.   Same same for the KC-BUF gsme.  Saw Chris Jones was out and doubled down on BUF with the ML.

Weather is windy up to 20MPH.  Our guys know all about the stadium so clear advantage to us…Baker rockets everything so I wouldn’t expect too many flutter balls from him.   Now those Lofted High Point throw from Murray to Hopkins might move a little.

Another Lamar Jackson practice game…with a mobile RPO machine like Murray. Chandler Jones out hurts them on third down and obvious passing situations.

-3 Vs. Cards not surprised.

-6 vs Broncos I’m very surprised. Short week two time zones for the Broncos who haven’t looked good at all lately. We could win a one sided affair

It's always interesting too in regards to where the "sharp" money is going. When the Browns line first came out, it was IMO a pretty big fish on the line to hit the Cardinals +2.5. Seeing the Cardinals now getting +3 or +3.5 is honestly surprising to me, I figured the line was going to move much closer to Browns -1.5 or even -1. It's fascinating, for sure how it all works.

Sharp plays are either brilliant or Retarded.  No where in between.

Saw a Vegas sharp try to tell people to bet Arky State and the points against Washington.  Sure, if you ignore the huge difference in the size and speed of the line play between the two.  Arky state is barely D-1.

52-3, Washington.  Spread was 16.5

According to Field Yates of ESPN, Murray has been added to the Cardinals’ injury report because of a right shoulder issue. He did participate in the team’s practice, but in a limited capacity due to the issue. While Arizona did not reveal further details about the issue, Yates noted that the superstar quarterback received some medical attention during the closing stages of their Week 5 win over the San Francisco 49ers.

Problem is, Jarvis doesn't generally throw it to OBJ. I'm so sick and tired of watching these film breakdowns where they illustrate play after play of Baker not getting him the effing ball. OBJ is extremely similar to Deondre Hopkins. Not quite as good, but they have similar abilities. Huge catch radius, crazy hands, etc. Now, just imagine...stay with me...imagine the Cardinals not throwing him the ball. WOULD NEVER FREAKING HAPPEN.

OK...take a breath...take a breath. I can't explain the OBJ thing. All I know is that it's ruining Baker Mayfield. Baker doesn't know whether to shit or get off the pot. His feet are ALL over the place, his eyes are even WORSE, and his deep ball looks like a punt from my Aunt Ethel...and she's been dead for 30 years. Here's the stat of the day:  before the Hail Mary drive against Bolts, his average depth of target was 5 yards. FIVE YARDS! In perfect weather conditions. 5 yards. Not exactly "feeling dangerous".

Not all hope is lost, obviously. We've seen Baker start out rather slowly before, right? As many opportunities as he missed last week, he still played a very solid game. He took care of the ball. He gave us a chance to win the game and his defense screwed him, the refs screwed him, and then they screwed him again on last drive when DPJ got ridden out of bounds. Oh, and his coach screwed him by not kicking the FG on the 4th down OBJ drop. We kick that FG and guess what? We don't need a TD, we need a FG...TO WIN.

We're really banged up, but for some reason I'm optimistic. I'm going with the Browns. Jarvis coming back helps, losing Nick hurts but Felton will make some plays, and Harrison Bryant is my sneaky pick to have a big game with 2 tds. I'm 4-1 on the season.

I have a feeling it was a stinger. Very painful but goes away quickly. Anything with neck obviously has to be triple checked and you can't go back to the game. But he's back and desperately needed. Cardinals have 4 WRs over 200 yards.

I have to admit, I kind of thought that the Cardinals 5-0 record was kind of an aberration, but they've beaten Tennessee, Minnesota, LA Rams and SF 49ers. I wouldn't consider any of those teams to be slouches. Should be a very good challenge for the Browns.

Well the TNF game opened at CLE -6 and now the consensus is now CLE -3.5.   I guess everyone has heard about the last game.

Check it out.  https://www.vegasinsider.com/nfl/odds/las-vegas/?s=693

GO BROWNS,  minus 3.5  yeah I can live with that.
