So, what is this telling us this week?  Well, it tells us that we're facing an opponent very much like last week's opponent, the Chargers.  The Cardinals are a top 10 well balanced offense.  They are a very strong passing team.  And our pass defense ranking is falling as the Bears game anomaly is starting to get washed into the numbers.  We're down to 8th against the pass, and we know that we're really not that good (Bears game, 1 yard passing against us).  Add our secondary injuries to that and we've got quite a problem going against this strong passing team.  And, they run pretty darned well.

Offensively, we appear to match up pretty well against them as the Cards are 28th against the run.  But as ballpeen likes to say, It's easier to load up and stop the run than it is to stop the pass.  Nobody's been able to do it yet though, and the Cards don't appear to be the team that can do it...but that might depend on how badly our OL is banged up at game time.  Both of our tackles could be out or playing gimpy.

What we really needed to win was last week's game against a main AFC playoff contending rival.  Now, because of that loss, THIS game becomes quite important just to right the ship and keep us from falling to .500.    -  I'm headed to the Carolina's for 5 days for a wedding (yaay) and probably won't see the game (boo).  Enjoy the game!  Hope we win!  Go Browns!

The Cards are tough indeed. It will probably be another nail-biter.

I worry about the DBs injuries, but remember they stopped the Vikings cold after drive #1. I think the Chargers game will be the anomaly due to only having 3 D starters on the field in the 4th quarter.

Browns really need to sweep this 3 game home stand, establish a home field advantage. None of the 3 games will be easy.

Ertz is now a cardinal....that is another bullet in their arsenal.  Defense needs to step up

With HC Kingsbury out this game, playcalling falls to a combo of Vance Joseph [Good as a DC/playcaller of D, failed Denver HC] and assistant Jeff Rodgers.  We'll see real quick how good of a playcaller this Jeff guy is.  My guess is the playcalling will be Cards' downfall this game..

Also out are QB coach Cam Turner and DT Zach Allen.

They need to quit playing soft coverages.. it's what is killing them...

Ain't feelin' this one, guys... started with the DEs turning into the walking wounded and now minus Chubb, there goes the ball control route.

Hunt moves up to RB1 will get the additional carries and hits, we'll see how good the RB2 and RB3  fill in.  Just doesn't have that same 1-2 punch combination we've grown accustomed to having.

In watching college football today a lot of FG misses and passing woes in the wind.

Time for Baker Mayfield and company to come through in a big way.
