Ever wonder what an NFL contract is all about ?  How much does an average or top QB make ?

How about one of those NIKE contracts how much does LeBron make compared to OBJ or maybe Kaepernick ?

What is a $billion how much is that anyway...... besides 1,000 $milliion.    Whoa.  More than doctors, nurses or teachers make that's for sure.

For more on the story see    https://www.businessinsider.com/colin-kaepernick-record-49ers-contract-2017-8

But for more on Nike, the NFL and how Kaepernick are in the mix check ✔️ it out:

How much Colin Kaepernick make in the NFL?   (Hint: a lot !)

Colin Kaepernick played as a quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers from 2011 to 2016. According to Sportrac, Kaepernick signed a four-year deal in 2011 for $5,124,296, with a signing bonus of $2,226,764 and an average annual salary of $1,281,074. After he led the 49ers to consecutive NFC championship games and a Super Bowl in 2013, Kaepernick signed a six-year deal for $114,000,00 in 2014, with a signing bonus of $12,328,766 and an average annual salary of $19,000,000.

According to Business Insider, Kaepernick received under a third of his record-breaking deal after he left the 49ers in 2017. The site reported that, in the end, Kaepernick received $39.4 million from the deal, which was 31 percent of the $126 million he was set to earn. Though there were reports that Kaepernick’s deal included $61 million in “guaranteed money,” Business Insider reported that the $61 million was only guaranteed if Kaepernick suffered a career-ending injury.

The site also reported that Kaepernick was set to earn $12.4 million for the 2015 season, however, because of the way his contract was worded, that salary went down to $10.4 million. According to the contract, Kaepernick’s salary went down $2 million each year he was not named first or second-team All-Pro or if the 49ers didn’t play in the Super Bowl the previous season with 80 percent of the snaps taken by Kaepernick.

During the 2016 season, Kaepernick restructured his contract for 2017 into a play option deal. In March 2017, Kaepernick opted out of his contract with the 49ers after reports they planned to release him in the summer. According to Business Insider, the 49ers were free to release Kaepernick each year of his contract and not owe him any more money.

How much did Colin Kaepernick, OBJ, LBJ make from Nike?

Colin Kaepernick signed with Nike in 2011 and was a face of the brand until 2016 when Nike stopped using his ads after he kneeled during the national anthem at a 49ers game that same year in protest against police brutality and racial injustice, according to Newsweek. Though Nike didn’t use Kaepernick’s ads, he remained on their endorsement roster. In 2018, Yahoo reported that Kaepernick had signed a new contract with Nike where he would make “millions per year,” along with royalties. The contract included an endorsement deal, as well as a branded apparel line with shoes, T-shirts and jerseys. “[The] contract is a ‘star’ deal on par with a top end #NFL player. Millions per year. Star deals also include royalties,” tweeted Yahoo NFL reporter Charles Robinson at the time.

Robinson also reported that the new deal was negotiated by Kaepernick’s current legal representation and that Nike was motivated to sign a new contract with Kaepernick after other shoe companies expressed an interest in him. “A lot behind the curtain here. @Nike had Kaepernick since 2011 but this is actually a new deal done by Kaepernick’s reps @markgeragos & @meiselasb . Nike sat on Kaepernick for 2 years w/ no idea what to do with him. Interest from other shoe companies absolutely changed their tune,” he tweeted.

Other athletes featured with Kaepernick in Nike’s “Just Do It” campaign include LeBron James, Shaquem Griffin and Odell Beckham Jr.  While it’s unclear what Kaepernick’s exact Nike salary is, James’ associates Maverick Carter told GQ in May 2016 that the NBA player signed a lifetime deal with Nike was worth more than $1 billion. NiceKicks.com also reported in 2017 that Beckham Jr. signed a contract worth $5 million per year for five years with Nike. ESPN reported at the time that the deal would pay Beckham Jr. almost two times as much as Nike had ever paid any other NFL player before. Forbes also ranked Williams as the highest-paid female athlete in 2017, with more than $27 million earned in prize money and endorsements with brands like Nike.

What is Colin Kaepernick’s net worth?

So how much is Colin Kaepernick’s net worth? Kaepernick is worth $20 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth, with around $12.4 million earned each year. Kaepernick’s net worth includes the money he made with the NFK and Nike, as well as other projects, like his 2021 Netflix show, Colin in Black & White, a biopic series directed by Ava Duvernay about his high school years. Kaepernick, who narrates Colin in Black & White, also published a children’s book with Scholastic Inc., titled I Color Myself Different, about what it was like to grow up as an adopted child of white parents.

Who gives a flying fuck... That woke Mfer can go to hell..

Yes and he's not exactly the struggling crusader by a long shot.

And OBJ bagging about $5,000,000 a year for 5 years...... not a bad gig if you can get it.

LBJ getting a billion bucks hey just think about that when you go and buy a pair of shoes.     Just sayin'.

It indeed is a financial world 🌍.

Well, Cleveland couldn't move him so now there is talk of outright cutting him. Even I didn't predict it would come to this. There is other talk of putting him on IR for the rest of the season. I guess those who were laughing at the thought of trading him don't think it's so funny anymore.

He was never a good fit. The team has a losing record when he plays for cripes sake. And now with is dad posting this video, trying to prove OBJ's non-production is Baker's fault? Oh wow.

Update: OBJ unexpectedly excused from practice today. Uh oh. Something's going on.

Hmmm... This just sort of makes you wonder if this is more of a Baker problem than an OBJ problem.  Bad decisions (like running and getting stuffed on third down) when he has a receiver past the sticks for an easy first down. Or just plain not seeing any of his guys when they're wide open. That video reinforces what's a bad habit with Mayfield.  When he misses a throw, its almost invariably high and wide.

Might as well cut him. Baker doesn't work with him and Case can't throw more than 15 yards.

I'd just leave him on the roster though unless you'd think someone would pick him up on Waivers.

Then again your WR room has one healthy WR, so....

Moving on…

Obj now.  Effort, hands and durability question marks.

Baker in a year or so…I don’t think he can see the field and read defenses well enough to get this team where it needs to be.

You are building the team around guys like Myles and Chubb

It's been clear from the start... OBJ was never gonna be a fit here.. doesnt matter who the QB is...

I give Stef and the coaching staff credit for this. You can't have this happen and just let it go. He doesn't want to be here and from my view didn't really give a shit to be out there. Cut the dead weight and get back to it.

It will cost us about $8 million to flat out cut him. Hmmm... Fact is, Baker played better with OBJ not on the field. And if Landry is POed that we sent his good pal packing, it will only cost us $1,5 million to release Jarvis next spring. We're paying him #1 WR money to be a great possession receiver. Clears a lot of salary cap at the WR position.

"Generally speaking players cut with four or more years of NFL experience immediately become free agents and are free to sign with any NFL team. However, during the season, beginning immediately after the NFL trade deadline passes and continuing through the end of the regular season, vested veterans (players with four or more years of NFL service) are also subject to the waiver process."

You interested in getting picked up by the Texans\ Lions Odell?  Hang in there until the end of the season, and you can pick your landing spot.

Did I miss something? Has been out there that obj asked his father to post this video on Instagram? I agree you can't have this in the locker room and it looks awful but I'm just curious if it has been shown that obj wanted his dad to post this? The way it is being covered it seems like obj himself posted this or said something.

Well...I thought that too.

Then I though.... My dad can't even figure out how to set the clock on his microwave, calls me when he can't get to the right input setting on his TV... And he's about the same age as OBJ's dad..

So immediately follow up the dads Instagram post with your statement - did that happen?

I remember saying that we played better with Perriman than we did with OBJ and people wanted to argue. Not sure if it was anyone on here but none the less it happened, OBJ was either still hurt from when he suffered a injury against the Browns in the preseason game some years back or something but imo he was not 100% since he been here, AND if he feels unwanted I don't blame him for leaving practice, Either way he is here we have him lets use him, Him and Baker need to get together and jerk each other off or whatever and get over what the problem is. This is Josh Gordon and Johnny Football all over again, Josh Gordon gets to come back and play and right away divides the locker room saying Johnny should be playing not Hoyer even though we had a winning record at the time.

I think this is hilarious... This is exactly what I expected when we traded for him... It's all about OBJ... It always has been... This guy is a snake... I thought so then... And nothing has changed that perception for me..

If we cut him and he blows up with a different team I'm going to need a dinosaur sedative.

I thought I had heard this morning that the reason he didn't get dealt is that no one has the money. A record number of teams are up against the cap. The reason Von Miller got moved is Denver ate damn near his entire salary this yr.

I really thought this team would take a step forward this yr. Not too late to turn it around but this team is too good for this bullshit.
