Westside Steve Posted May 11, 2022 Report Posted May 11, 2022 I made a separate thread specifically because this might be a conundrum. (Not to start another screaming match about abortion.) "Casey says he will support legislation to codify abortion rights | The Hill" https://thehill.com/news/senate/3483338-casey-says-he-will-support-legislation-to-codify-abortion-rights/ Whether or not senators decide to write a bill to codify abortion I don't understand how it would supersede the Supreme Court. Anybody here have any idea? WSS Quote
calfoxwc Posted May 11, 2022 Report Posted May 11, 2022 great question - the Supreme Court ends the bad bill, Roe vs Wade, and leaves it up to the individual states, casey's political posturing is null and void. The left keeps demanding to UNCONSTITUTIONALLY mandate - that is not allowed. also, most republicans in Congress are against an abortion ban. I imagine that is because it is not a federal issue - not in our Constitution. It's odd how leftists demand their free speech but demand the power to squelch everyone else's free speech. It is also very fascistic and treasonous to threaten the Supreme Court for not deciding the way the left wants them to decide. It's all gotten way, way, way out of hand. The leftist minority is in full on rage and power mode - they thrive on controlling. It's like the pro-baby murder crowd is threatening to give the Supreme Court enough warning points they can be booted from the court. Quote

Congress can't get anything done when everyone agrees, let alone when it's a wedge issue Quote

And the best Congress could do is something within the Realms of legal but with restrictions and those are sure to be vague. WSS Quote
