Absolutely, giving Ukraine long range weapons would change their defensive strategy to an offensive one.

Not only that but arming the Freedom Fighters never seems to work out well. Because Freedom Fighters at oppressors are basically the same assholes.

Well there's at least one correct decision in my opinion.

And I don't think he's making that kind of decision in a vacuum either. The main NATO leaders are far more coordinated in decisions like this now than before Putin pulled all this shit. It's having the total opposite effect of what he wanted, which was a fractured and divided NATO/Europe. And others now want under that umbrella of protection. Again the total opposite of Putin's plan.

Vacuum? I doubt that he's personally making that decision at all. I don't think anybody's crazy enough to wish for World War 3.

Looks like they are finally increasing their defense spending that Trump wanted all along.  Not because of demented Joe.

Putin called NATO. He had only two words. "Wake up!"

wow again. decision one way, then a flip decision, then.......

I believe our top military leaders know that the advantage russia had

with their long range rockets was going to kill the Ukraine's chances.

The advanced rocket systems are not necessary offensive I think.

Russia can make big moves with rocketing to pieces, then advancing, then

sending more longer ranger rockets, etc.

Sadly, I think it's like two excellent boxers - one with a fast long reach, and one with

a short reach. It's a response to what russia is doing, to counter their moves.

   I think.

On social media, there are Russians posting captured Javelins and NLAWs (long and short-range anti-tank missiles). There are also reports of gun runners selling these to Syria, where they are likely to be used against the YPG - these are the Kurds we are supporting via proxy against Assad.

lol.

Here's another funny one. India hasn't hopped on board with the West's sanctions on Russia. As such, they have been buying oil at a steep discount, then they are refining it, and marking it up to sell back to Europe. The short-sightedness of these sanctions are on the same tier as the Iraq War.

Sending the missiles to the Ukraine was the right thing to do.  Neil Farage was on Fox talking about how America is leaderless and missing - and how those missiles are limited range so they can't be used on targets in russia.

Meanwhile, russia is going on active nuke war practices and ratcheting up their threats.

russia is hell bent on remaking the soviet union - or else.

So is a tank an offensive, or defensive weapon?   Is a rifle an offensive or defensive weapon?  An anti tank weapon?  They can all be used for offensive or defensive purposes.

well, ya. That goes without argument. i see it as, russia invaded, committed hideous, sickening war crimes - a terror nazi kind of campaign - so giving weapons to the Ukraine people - they are on survival defense, so the arms to them are defensive weapons. Defense against a vicious, violent and dangerous aggressor that literally is threatening the world.
