Guest mz.
*Donkey TE Dick Quinn, that is. Another day, another AFC West domestic violence arrest Posted by Mike Florio on September 7, 2009 8:45 PM ET On Sunday, Chargers linebacker Shawne Merriman was arrested for battery and false imprisonment. Broncos tight end Richard Quinn didn't learn from Merriman's example. Quinn, a second-round pick in the 2009 draft, currently is behind bars as a result of a Monday domestic violence incident. Per Lindsay Jones of the Denver Post, Quinn is being held without bail pending a Tuesday morning court appearance. Quinn's girlfriend called 911 from a neighbor's house, and she told authorities that Quinn "grabbed and shook her to the ground," and that he took her cell phone to prevent her from calling police. He faces a concisely-worded charge of "harassment -- obstruction of phone services/domestic violence." Quinn reportedly admitted to taking the phone, but he claims that he did so only because she "started hitting him in the face." And that excuse makes sense only if she started hitting him in the face . . . with her phone. via here.
OconRecon
Saw that. Some here were kind of high on him at one point, as a mid rounder at least.

Flugel
*Donkey TE Dick Quinn, that is. Sounds like the NFL random drug testing needs to exceed 2%. People act like this is so much better than baseball with the drugs but is it REALLY? And now we'll be facing 2 guys (the Williams' Area Code) that are escaping punitive measures for banned substances. Not only that, but the outdated NFL tests can't detect HGH so the drug of choice today? HINT: The Steeler Team doctor purchased outrageous volumes of it for his alleged clinical practices on-site for their 2nd to last SB run. Gee, that's got warm fuzzies written all over it. There's prolly always going to be new shortcuts; but that doesn't mean you should stay outdated in policing the problem. I'm guessing the NFL has the cake to do this when I see all the jersey sales, video game sales, and franchise profit margins soarign through the roof like a punt in Dallas. Instead, they're sending guys like Shawn Merriman to Hawaii after the season on an all expenses paid vacation right? Yaa, they're really showing MLB. I hope Goodell puts a little giddyup into the outdated testing system the NFL is using. - Tom F.
