Westside Steve
I have not, my dear pal Joe, who is not a conservative by any stretch of the imagination but is a huge Lord of the Rings fan says that it sucks. WSS
FairHooker11
I did -and agree with Walsh and the critics who say that the men are portrayed as weak while the female counterparts are superhuman -like. the whole series seems to start and end with galadriel (sp?) an elvish broad with particular skills to find you, and kill you if nec. my interest was how they (production )backfill the original story - and it falls short IMO (Sauron genesis is totally stoopid) this is in line with the latest Wakanda story and the other woman king story? as well as the countless marvel / dc hero stuff. woke beyond belief and get this (unrelated) - James Cameron and his milqtoast army of blue men in his latest avatar film seems to echo the sentiment he has his wife carry his balls in her purse apparently?
Ibleedbrown
I watched the first season and l’m starting on the second. It definitely drags at times. I ended up liking the first season enough that l started on the second, but it’s dragging too. I’m a Tolkien fan too so l’ll likely ride it out. FairHooker11
i take back my first take on the series and kinda like the 2nd season so far... it has of course more character and story development and havent seen *much of Galadriel (who seemed to have the most time season 1) except to say that she found some blame within herself as the rings cast by the elves so far have that sinister effect on the wearer, and Galadriel admits to falling for Saurons lies of deception. The Dwarves story is interesting - knowing that in the future they get all but wiped out, have a love hate relationship with the elves ... Elrond shows himself to be measured and quite capable of sound judgement. But is a staunch ally to the dwarves... the mystic wizard and 2 female hobbits are sprinkled in as well. some more building of the kingdoms of men are happening so time will tell there on the entirity of that whole subject. so most of the realms are coming forth, although I think they are backpeddaling on the Sauron angle as it seemed to repeat some season one storyline to (I dont know) re explain his rise to evilness?
