Dink and Dunk?

Quinn and the passing offense vs TEN in this short video per NFL.COM- he was 11 of 15 for 128 yds, 8.5 ypa, 1 TD, and 121 QB RTG.

Play 1: 2nd and 9 - 17yd pass to Furrey: 1st Down

Play 2: 3rd and 5 - 15yd blitz beater to Cribbs: 1st Down

Play 3: 2nd and 9 - 9yd designed screen to Lewis: 1st Down

Play 4: 2nd and 7 - 11yd slant to Royal: 1st Down

Play 5: 1st and 10 - 14yd flat pass to Lewis: 1st Down

Play 6: 1st and 10 - 20yd skinny post to Edwards: T D

Play 7: 1st and 10 - 12yd out to Cribbs: 1st Down

Play 8: 3rd and 6 - 9yd designed screen to James Davis: 1st Down

Now when compared to gunslinger DA, Quinn didn't come across to me as dink and dunking his way down the field.

Lets compare their equal opportunity preseason competition:

Plays over 20 yards:

DA 5 BQ 3

Yards per Attempt

DA 8.7 BQ 7.3

Longest Play

DA 34 BQ 25

Yards per Game

DA 69 BQ 75

Total Yards

DA 207 BQ 225 (BQ had 5 more attempts)

TD/INT

DA 0/2 BQ 1/1

Gunslinger vs Dink and Dunker? DA barely has a YPA advantage, so you'd think that would at least be one area he pulled way ahead. And plays over 20+ yards, combined with longest plays? Not an apparent difference maker for DA.

So does someone want to tell me how Quinn is considered a dink and dunk QB on par with Frye? Compared to DA he is a more ball control, spread the ball (6 receivers caught those 8 passes in the video), move the chains type of QB.

This video didn't include his 4 incompletes, but of the 11 completions, 8 were for the 1st downs shown.

Guy goes 11 of 15 passing, with 8 of those 11 for 1st down, and he is a dink and dunk QB?

Okay.....WHY???

60% of NFL passes are under 10 yards. In his last start, Favre had 75% of his attempts under 11 yards and 4 attempts were behind the line of scrimmage.

Buzz is starting to leak that Quinn is da man. All good.

two items will lead you to enlightenment:

Yards per Completion:

Anderson 13.8

Quinn 10.7

% of completions over 20 yards:

Anderson 33%

Quinn 14%

So you can't answer my question, can you?? LMAO! Typical.

Again, the above stats don't do your passing offense much good when you complete less than 56.5% of all your passes over 2 seasons, and have the worst QB rating in the league. Combined with 20+ turnovers per 16 games, and it is less important.

And it also does no good in this thread. Thanks for pimping your guy, but that doesn't make Quinn and dink and dunk QB.

You need to start paying me for these private schoolings.

We honored your rule when you told us "we don't COUNT Detroit as real criteria." I suggest you do the same.

Now, for my stupid question of the day. What do you think of Mangini - Loverboy?
