Our first look at the 2023 ESPN's very helpful rolling season schedule.   I follow this one all season long.

The GUARDIANS FO has some very important decisions to make compounded by how well by how fast this group of "young guns" have come together as a unit. -AND-  they still are a young team headed into 2023.

Also as a unit they don't compare with the 1990s team in raw power  with Manny Ramirez,  Albert Belle,  Jim Thome and others but with the speed of Kenny Lofton they can draw comparisons in some raw talent  a nice problem to have  ..... I guess.

So what to do with Steve Kwan and maybe  a few more ?  I'm sure that the FO and Tito and other managers are aware of the situation like the P4 and P5, team speed and other nice decisions to have.  You can not keep them ALL AND pay them all like you would like to ...... or can you ?

Nice problems  ?!?     Oh you still have to play the 2023 schedule too.   Might be a fun year ..... oh they are the hunted now.

CLE 2-0 MID 7 .... Andre Gimenez a deep solo HR bomb,  whoa.

CLE 2-0 bottom 9 .... Clase in for the Save !  1 out. 2 out. K baby !

CLE 2..XXX... SEA 0 ... A shut out  "W"  and SV (1) for Clase.

Game 4 -  SEA 1-0  .... Bottom 1st .....  Cal Quantrill gives up a lead-off HR

CLE 3-1 .... mid 2nd ....   Mike Zinino a 3R HR.   Nice. Cal Quantrill and his run support.   O/U is 8 runs today. 

CLE 6 .... Sea 5/10 innings..... Good game !

On to Oakland tomorrow evening  !

I read this somewhere else but I feel like it needs to be repeated:

It is staggering how much better of a professional sports franchise the Guardians are than the Browns, ESPECIALLY considering the competitive disadvantage the Gs have as a natural fact of doing business in a small market in the MLB. If the Guardians were as poorly-run as the Browns are, they would go 50-112 every year.

Well I turned the game back on in the 8rh inning and and the Guardians score 3 more following an A's defensive miscues and some good Guardians baserunning so it's now GUARDIANS 10  A's 8 still bottom of the 8th.   

Now Guardians 10  A's  8......  top 9.  *WELL THE GUARDIANS HAVE JUST WON THEIR SECOND CONSECUTIVE GAME IN EXRTA INNINGS  AND ARE NOW 4-1.   HOW ABOUT THAT  !

Game 7 - and its in the 9th inning.

The Guardians were up 4-0 but the A's tied up the game in the bottom of the 8th.   Bottom of the 9th now still tied up 4-4 ........   

CLE 5  A's 4  now bottom 10 ....  here we go yet  AGAIN  !      

★★★  AND THE GUARDIANS WON IT IN EXTRA INNINGS YET  AGAIN    5-4 IN 10 INNINGS.      WHEW !

Well bummer !  Seattle  5  CLEVELAND 3 Final in the HOME SEASON OPENER.   What a let down. 

QUESTION:  What you prefer, an opening day in Cleveland  -or-  a week on the west coast before coming back to Cleveland  ?

Game 11 - NYY 2   CLE  2  in the bottom of 4th.  After 87 pitches the Yankee pitcher is gone.   Beiber is hanging in so far.

Top 7 - still 2-2, Beiber still on cruise control since 2nd inning.  GUARDIANS 1 for 9 RISP !   

Bottom 7 - CLE 3-2.  Kwan on, steals 2nd, sacrificed home.  GUARDIAN BASEBALL  !   

CLE  3   NYY 2  Final.   Great game.
