Guest Masters
The book on Brady is being written right now. One game film now, by 3 games that book will be completely published and its going to be a short story indeed. Brady showed that he will throw the short to intermediate routes and will not wait on the longer routes. Not true at all. All indications showed me a) Brady took what the D gave him and he executed the plays called for him. This was his FIRST START. He showed us he's versatile, mobile, smart; three things DA was not and, unfortunately for him, never will be. You don't get books on those guys (Manning, T Brady, Romo, Roethlisberger) because they are indeed versatile. The guys you get books on are one-trick ponies like DA, Vick, etc. Not to mention Brady actually could get guys to the line, lined up, not false starting, not getting delay of games, and not having to burn time outs. A first time starter who didn't have to burn them to get a play off, while a 2nd year starter/4th year player can't.

As oppossed to how many false starts, burned timeouts, etc. w/ DA. The guy who practices with the starters every day since week 2 of last year? And your memory isn't what you try to portray it as. It was a personal match up TO. The kinds you see all the time. Not the old getting to the line and realizing you only got 5 seconds left on the play clock. So what? He took a timeout. The kid was starting his first game on 2 days practice - maybe 1. Did you see him run to the sidelines like a bumbling doofus looking for a play while wasting 32 fooking seconds on the last drive? You can't make this loss about Quinn and it is killing you. You're not smug, interesting, witty or sharp. You're as bitter a woman scorned.

You know Lum was watching that game hoping with each Quinn pass for an INT, possible INT, bad 3 and outs, or anything that would make Quinn look bad. Lumbergh
So what? He took a timeout. If it ain't no big thang then maybe milkmaid shouldn't have tried to brag up the incorrect statement in the first place, what you say vegasdogg? That BQ actually could get guys to the line? He did. Lined up? He did. Not false starting (notice plural)? He did. Not getting delay of games? They didn't. Not having to burn time outs (notice the plural)? He didn't But you keep spinning. Why don't you go respond to the thread about DA's contract and tell us some more how the guy at the Sporting News or Peter King are fresh out of college guys who don't know anything. Maybe you can tell Adam Shafter of NFL network that too.

He'll deliver those like clockwork anyway.
chubb
Three examples of how you love to over exaggerate in an attempt to express your butt loving infatuation with DA... he could care less about the L the Browns were left hoping Quinn could complete 14 six yard passes in a row to pull out the win a screamer over Winslow's head on 4th and 1 Yeah, that "screamer" was WAY over Winslows head... duchebag. The pass was thrown high to keep it away from the defenders that were surrounding him. It went right through his hands, not BQ's fault but K2's. You make it sound like he threw it 150 mph and 10 feet over his head. You're just upset because your days of watching DA strut around in his cute little tights are numbered. ReginaBrownsFan
Also... BQ is all we got so you better embrace his ass. Actually there's a Pro Bowler on the bench that probably woulda put up 40 against that D last night.
ReginaBrownsFan
and a screamer over Winslow's head on 4th and 1, the game was lost. That was a perfect pass.
Sturim
Lum had his clipboard out last night with his little notepad on it trying to find anything he could use here on Quinn. Someone tell me how to put him on ignore please, I can't take him anymore. I want to talk browns football here, not listen to Lum keep trying to sell us all on DA and try to somehow put a bad spin on BQ's first game. He's sellin' shit and I'm not buying. Seriously, someone tell me how I can put him on ignore...I don't need to see anymore from this assclown.

Sturim
The less I see, the better it is....he's pretty much a DA troll to me...only thing he talks about. I don't recall him talking about anything to do with the browns other than DA.
rr59eagle
this seems like deja vu.... DA rolls in here and lights it up for 8 games.....coaches get film on him and shut him down.... lets see what happens the next few weeks, see if he's consistent, see if he handles adversity. once the books out on him, it'll be more interesting to see if he can continue to play well. it does look promising, but im not ready to proclaim him a franchise QB. EXACTLY ...BQ came into a good situation playing against a terrible defense ...Elation by the masses is fine ...support the kid . but see how he manages the next 8 games and is tested before you anoint him KING>>> The same kind of thing was being said on this board about DA last year at this time
Greythan
The same kind of thing was being said on this board about DA last year at this time Speak for yourself. Many of us weren't sold on DA at all. As for Quinn, all we saw was a VERY promising debut; Denver's defense and all. The disappointing this is we could have seen this debut late last year and cashed in DA for a 1st and 3rd. Oh well.

The disappointing this is we could have seen this debut late last year and cashed in DA for a 1st and 3rd. Oh well. No kidding. I wanted his head after the OAK start (and called him for what he is during the 2006 season when he filled in for Frye. Sure, I got suckered in for hope on DA betwen week 3 and 11 last year, but never saw in him what I saw in Quinn in 1 game, a leader. What Quinn does in the next 7 games is certainly critical. But I think he is gonna do fine. Keep in mind I wan't high on him coming out of the draft either.
Fan Of STEEL 1
Also... BQ is all we got so you better embrace his ass. Actually there's a Pro Bowler on the bench that probably woulda put up 40 against that D last night. Probowl QB? Look, he was only in there as an alternate because the top QBs were not there. He sucked after the first 6 games of last season. What is so hard for you to understand about that? How did Anderson do in the Probowl by the way? And if you think he would have done so well against denvers defense, whey did he only get 11 against Washington, yet puts up big points against NY? It's because he is inconsistant. "Probably" is not the right word to describe what Anderson would have done in that game if he had played. "Possibly", or "might have", would have been a better choice. However, as stated, you won't know that answer because he is on the bench where he belongs because he has played so inconsistant. Quinn played a very good game and had Anderson played like that, you would have been giving him the praise he deserves no matter who he played against. Give the man his props or move on. It's a team, not the Derek Anderson show.

Guest Masters
Here were a couple of good quotes following Thursday's game: "He's real calm in the huddle and lets the game come to him. He even calmed me down when I was excited," Winslow said. When did we ever see DA calm any player down on CLEs O? Let alone the most emotional guy on the O in Winslow. Quinn also said the Browns haven't given up on themselves. "My mindset is that this is a one-game season every week," he said. "We've got a tough schedule. With this many games left, we don't need to look any further ahead than Buffalo. Good to see he has the right mindset.
