Well, the camera did show him on the bench moving his shoulder and then arm in such a manner as if to say, Does it still hurt if I do this?  Hey look, he's already lasted longer than I predicted.  I had him coming out of the halftime tunnel in the middle of the 3rd quarter wearing street clothes.

I'm pretty sure the "team losing confidence" in #4 would be more of a direct result of #4's first half stats being perfect:

0-of-7 on throws more than five yards downfield
0-of-4 when pressured
0-of-4 when blitzed

Good QB's stats get better when they're blitzed.

This isn't about emotion, this is about #4's competence at being a professional athlete.  With these stats, #4 wouldn't even make the US Olympic flag football team.

Jameis performs better than this while legally blind.

This team hasn't lost confidence in #4. They lack confidence in themselves. They are a crew without a captain.

Whatever fucked up Depodesta/Barry/Dee Haslam leadership fuckery is going on, the players see it and they just have nomination to play.

I'm new to everything and I'm going to preface pretty much everything I say with that. Also I'm in Korea so I watch all the games Monday evening and go blackout from when they air till I get to see them. What I noticed wasn't so much Watson being a bad QB as Watson being our best running back? Which...is weird right? I mean you guys have been at this longer than me... It's weird for a QB to have to run that much, right? It's weird for a QB jersey with white letters to turn green because he has gotten sacked so many times there's more grass on him than on the field...right? I don't know man, I just, as I said in the pre-season I feel like our pocket belongs on a pair of overalls. It just looks like we aren't protecting anything out there and then we blame 4? I don't even know if I like this guy or if I think he's good or not - I don't feel like he is protected long enough for me to even see. And maybe you know, Dallas was just really good at infiltration and that won't be every game. But I felt this way in pre-season too. And when its happening with rookies AND with starters... I have to wonder personally if its not coaching and general team strategy that needs evaluating, not our running back- gah I mean quarter back....

Baker Mayfield vs the Commanders - 24/30, 289 yards and 4 touchdowns, No ints, one sack. Tremendous passion.

the upside is we watched the game on record, so we could fast forward through the commercials.

This defense deserved better - I still think they will be one of the top defenses in football. Ghoolie could be right -

the offense was playing without passion. Under pressure, watson choked. If there is a serious lack of passion, it emanates from the HC. It's just one game.

I don't know if this has been mentioned anywhere here, but Deshaun lost his father 3 days before the game.

Not making excuses for him, but he didn't look right out there yesterday. Perhaps his loss was some part of that.

Actually it was haslem who pushed the chips into the middle of the table. So yesterday did you notice how dallas had their qb roll out away from myles ? and made alot of quick short throws ? you saw that right ? then why didnt we do the same to get away from parsons ? instead of being in the damn shotgun. It is only game one and if they make the right adjustments it will be interesting to see how #4 fairs next week

I'm sure there is plenty of blame for the game plan. Starting with KS. Again it's executed by #4. Thought I heard something about RPO?  The guys shoulder is probably half of what it was in his pro bowl years in Houston. Imo, he's used goods. Might only be 1 game, but what about the sample size, the ongoing issues? I wasn't a fan of this trade. Due mostly to the fact that playing indoors for most of his career then coming North. People will say he's a professional. But there is a big difference.  Hopefully (as I don't wish Ill upon anyone) these lawsuits give us an out.

If he would have asked me I would have told him Ghoolie. If I'd had the opportunity I would have slapped some sense into him. There are 31 teams with better starting  QB than we have, and half of those have a better backup than we have a starter. So yeah I think he's pretty worthless. I tend to believe what I see rather than what I hear. I've never been impressed with Jameis Winston either, he's not much better. DTR ?Maybe . I think he has the most potential but hey,wtf do I know.
