Orion Posted September 25 Report Posted September 25 And so...with our offensive line detreating, our offensive stats are tumbling. Watson's been sacked 16 times in 3 games. Is he holding the ball too long? Sometimes he is, yes. Of course, the guy has missed so much time over the past few years that it seems like the game has sped up on him. And with the starting OLinemen dropping like flies, he's just not going to have a chance to get comfortable. OK, to the numbers. The Raiders don't seem to do anything regarding the running game well at all. But they're one of the best passing teams in the league, while allowing 4 sacks per game. We'll probably be needing Myles & Co. to be applying pressure to force an INT or 2. Last week the Giants were rated pretty low against the run and we could not capitalize on it. I'd assume the same for this week. This is another game that the defense is going to have to win for us. Otherwise, Watson is going to have to carry the team on his shoulders...which doesn't exude confidence. 1 Quote
Dutch Oven Posted September 25 Report Posted September 25 This is a big game. We are in the "easy" part of the schedule, and if you fall to 1-3 now, things can start to unravel quickly. 1 1 Quote
USFBrown Posted September 26 Report Posted September 26 Big game for both teams. 2-2 feels a like better than 1-3. The Raiders are much better offensive team than Giants are. Defense will have to step up because I don't see our offense doing much with Watson and the patch work O line. Vegas has the home team advantage. Any given Sunday and I hope it will be our given Sunday. Quote
PackerNation Posted September 26 Report Posted September 26 Must win game. Deshaun may surprise a few of you in this one. Quote
Ibleedbrown Posted September 26 Report Posted September 26 Where to watch this Sunday? The Browns are basically battling Taylor Swift for viewership this weekend, so pretty limited on who gets to watch in the big 50. Ohio is covered, except for my eternally forsaken homies in Van Wert. Some border areas in IN, KY and PA get the Browns too. Looks like we’re claiming most of WV this weekend too. West Virginians don’t give a shit about Taylor Swift. Oddly enough not all of NV gets the game, but most do. You Nevadan’s north of the Great Basin will have to settle for Swift, or better yet, go out and enjoy your basin. I hear it’s great. There’s a little spillover in to parts of CA that get the Browns, but the rest are stricken with Swiftiness. Sorry about your luck. https://506sports.com/nfl.php?yr=2024&wk=4 1 Quote
Ibleedbrown Posted September 26 Report Posted September 26 I just noticed old friend Ross Tucker is calling the game. He sorta played for us years ago. Quote

Sound will be turned off all over Cleveland and Las Vegas, and probably more locales. Quote

TexasAg1969 Posted September 26 Report Posted September 26 Raiders are 2 point favorites on average in Vegas sportsbooks. Started out as 1 1/2. So somebody thinks the Browns are better than we do here. Quote

So he's seen quite a bit of what we're going to throw at time. Conversely, we've seen a lot of what makes him tick, he just no longer has the benefit of the Colts IOL and Johnathan Taylor. Probably won't stop the Raiders coaches from reaching into a similar bag for their tricks. Those 1/2 gap-zone calls and that one crunch which Taylor popped for 20+ were pretty gnarly. Raiders have a huge IDL that moves well and we've lost Teller. Until further notice, I'm taking the home team with the better playing QB. 1 Quote

So if the spread rises in favor of the Raiders, that means they need to get more people to bet on the Browns. If it goes to Raiders -3.5, I would jump on the Browns getting 3.5. I think the Browns are better than most here, but I still need to get over 3 to bet on them. I am not insane. lol. Well, a little bit insane.😌 Quote
PackerNation Posted September 26 Report Posted September 26 Davante Adams added to the Raiders injury report. Limited in practice with a hamstring. I'm pretty sure Tae will play, but it's worth noting he may not be 100%. Quote

Well, a little bit insane.😌 Well when A&M opened 11.5 fav over Arkansas, I told a friend going there to take those points as soon as he stepped off the airplane. But smart money realized that was a ridiculous spread and now it's down to 5.5 point favorite. I'd still take Arkansas. I said the same thing about taking Bowling Green with around 23-24 points after they lost to Penn St by 7 and had two weeks off to get ready for A&M. They lost by 6. Quote
Orion Posted September 27 Author Report Posted September 27 IMO, we are a team that's dead in the water. Without a functioning OL...you're screwed. Watson & Stefanski will get the blame for this upcoming loss. Hopefully Zinter steps in and plays such that they ain't never taking him out. AND, we'll need some decent play from the Tackles. If for no other reason, so that we can properly evaluate whether we need to draft a starting QB or not in April. Quote
PackerNation Posted September 27 Report Posted September 27 Raiders at home and the home team normally gets 3 for being at home. Raiders -2. This is basically a pick'em game. I like the under. 20-16 Browns. Everything is too tight. Stay away from this game. Quote

Hopefully Stefanski has a game plan that enables Watson to get the ball out quickly. Update: Both Maxx Crosby and Davante Adams ruled out. Everything going the Browns way. Quote
Bob806 Posted September 27 Report Posted September 27 I've got a feeling that the special teams are going to need to come up big for the Browns. First astroturf game of the season. Can the Browns figure out a way to get speedsters involved (Jeudy, Moore....dare I say it, Thrash?) Quote
