Orion Posted October 24 Report Posted October 24 Some matchup eh? The Ravens appear to have one weakness...pass defense. And wouldn't ya know, we suck at passing. We get sacked 5 times a game. And we lost our starting QB for the year...again. Well, ok...we've got Nick Chubb back now. Oh, the Ravens are #1 against the run. I have no fear though because the organization has decided that Stefanski will be stripped of the play calling and Ken Dorsey, the new OC, will call the plays. Apparently, the plays have not been called in the proper order. 2 Quote
TexasAg1969 Posted October 24 Report Posted October 24 Ravens opened as 1.5 point favorite over the Browns, but it moved quickly to 8.5. That is a huge amount of money going on the Ravens to move that far. Plus 1.5 was really ridiculous given how the Browns are doing vs how the Ravens are doing. Quote
lodilobo Posted October 24 Report Posted October 24 This is probably a stupid prediction, but I'm expecting a very close game....maybe a last minute win. 2 Quote

Who ever in is responsible for that in Vegas is going to lose their job. Quote

When? July? Quote

calfoxwc Posted October 25 Report Posted October 25 Watching the Bucs play the ratbirds, I think: looking at the 2-24 stats of defenses: https://www.foxsports.com/articles/nfl/2024-nfl-defense-rankings-team-pass-and-rush-stats the Browns are #13 in total defense, the ratbirds are #23. In pass defense - check this out: The Browns are #11. The ratbirds are......... last. THAT is how the Bucs tried to come back with the passing game, but Evans pulled his hammy again? and Godwin got his ankle broken and will need surgery, due to an illegal hip-drop tackle? If Baker can still do well, that will tell a lot about the Bucs' qb. So the ratbirds are susceptible through the air. With Winston back there why....eh......never mind. The major advantage the ratbirfs have, is rush defense. They are #1 The Browns are #15. The ratbirds' offense made the Bucs defense look pretty slow. My guess is that Winston throws a few picks, our defense will make the ratbird offense look slow, but the stupid stinking ratbirds win by getting a turnover TD on an interception. But if the Browns can keep roadrunning Jackson in the pocket, they will do well, and the tables will probably turn. Quote

The main advantage they have is on the flip side, they have the #1 rushing offense too. The hard part is stopping Henry inside (sometimes outside) and also stopping Jackson at the same time. That's quite a task that no team has done now that they are in sync. Quote

They are #1 No. The major advantage they have is they're playing us. We can't do anything offensively, except commit penalties and get sacked. We'll see if Wyatt Teller plays or not. Now that we don't have Cooper, I'd like to see if Tillman can continue to produce like last game. 1 Quote

Sure hope so, but at 211 avg ypg rushing, the Ratbirds are deadly. Makes defending Lamar ( the water bug) even tougher. As much as I hate 'em, they way they're playing now makes you wonder how they lost the 1st 2 games. Quote

Osusu still facinates me when I watch the defense. 17 hours ago, Orion said: Now that we don't have Cooper, I'd like to see if Tillman can continue to produce like last game. The Browns will miss Cooper this game - he would have had a field day vs the ratbirds last place pass defense. Cooper make a nice start with the Bills, and will expode. The points they scored was nearly double, I think. But Tillman may very well fill his shoes. Cooper ran a 4.42 after college, Tillman ran a 4.54, 27th in the list of wr's at the combine. But Cooper's route running and outstanding time, faster than 80% of the rest of the pack - his 20 yard shuttle time, 3.98 was serious agility. I think I read where Tillman elected to not run the 20 yard shuttle, but he has skills to step in. I wish I had him now in my fantasy leagues. ********************************************************** EDIT: I did pick up Cedric Tillman in one league ! I hope we get to see him break out and be a star. 1 Quote

Ibleedbrown Posted October 26 Report Posted October 26 Here is ye old TV map for the week. Looks like only you northern Ohioans get this one. Western PA and the gimpy arm of WV, you’re good too. A good chunk of VA, about half of DE, and of course MD. I wonder if some doctor in Maryland has a personalized license plate that says MDINMD? https://506sports.com/nfl.php?yr=2024&wk=8 1 Quote

Odd that you think anyone in touch with reality would be pining for an emotional connection here. Most are emotionally connected to their fav team, but not to random members of a fan forum. It's words on a screen, nothing more. You should consider getting out more. Enjoy the games today. Quote
