Considering you posted about an AI making music you might want to adjust what you're considering the "lowest common denominator of society"...

Among others, jealous lazy fucks who are angry that other people are more successful than they are but still want money.

Somebody that would rather take the welfare than something and earn more and gain more self respect from it.

But it would take more than one generation until people were pissed off that others got more money than they did just because they have jobs.

How are you described able body? People who would accept the minimum and do nothing else?

What exactly are you rambling on about?

You also seemed to have completely dodged the point that musicians are on their way to being in this magical "lowest common denominator" bucket. AI isn't coming for just the people you've decided are lazy (again, coming from the folk musician...). AI, with the path it's on, will have a massive impact on society. This isn't just automation taking manual jobs, it's going beyond that.

No doubt there are a lot of people talking about it. Seems it would be appealing for the lowest common denominator of society. But those are the willing flunkis of political parties.

Make your case Woodrow

woodpecker hasn't made his case, as usual. Our America is about 34 TRILLION in national debt. Our interest on it is, if I remember correctly, headed towards being near our GDP. A universal income is tantamount to exponentially creating the worst results of the cloward-piven philosophy. America would crash.

A universal income is another term for socialism utopia. Historically, socialism crashed. Like Margaret Thatcher said:

“The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.”

I don't really believe that you in your heart. Leave that a society in which AI does everything and humans need do nothing but lay on the couch all day. Taking drugs or wearing headphones with virtual reality glasses or whatever is a positive step for mankind.

Sounds pretty disturbing to me.

He’s always saying that the Boomers shouldn’t fuck things up on our way out.

Yet his generation is a bunch of lazy fat pigs, that are fucking things up while they’re still in their prime.

I never said it was a positive step. I'm just saying we're going to need to start preparing for the rise of AI and automation now so we're not completely fucked as a society when it's too late.

First of all, i'm sure the science fiction writers can think of a dozen or so different end games scenarios. As far as you and me? We won't be around to see it. Collapse are the people born into those types of societies fifty or a hundred years from now, will never know any different.

Ex.... AI making music.

It's easy to dismiss this as just automation taking the jobs of those you deme lesser. The fry cooks. The fast food workers. Etc.

But we're on a path to automate (or at least drastically change) a lot more than that.

Technology advances at an exponential pace. I will see huge and groundbreaking changes in my lifetime. This very easily could have a real, society changing impact in my lifetime.

Even then, addressing these issues and taking steps to prepare future generations, even if it doesn't directly affect me, is still worth it. This seems to have been a theme with our conservative posters on here, and conservatives in general, who can only care about issues that affect them directly right now. Kinda ties back to the boomer lifestyle of abundance and shortsightedness.

And I probably won't be around in 50 years. To have the pleasure of telling you I told you so.

Remember that a goldfish will keep eating as long as there's food available.

Alright man, clearly this has gone no where.

Believe whatever you want to believe, even in the face of facts. Just a shame, again, you and others will take such a short-sighted and closed minded view on issues like these.

Oh well

You have issues Cal

you are the one being a peckerhead, woodpecker.

Meanwhile, 40 0f 45 looters caught in Florida after the hurricane,

are illegals.

and, your people you love - 64% of all federal arrests...... are your illegals.

Even now, you won't say their names..

The criminal conviction rates for legal immigrants were lowest of all, its study said. Justice Department officials say the Central American gang known as MS-13 is notoriously violent.
