Ugh.

Now that means Wills has to play I guess.  If it's ok with him...

People are just not meant to be that large.

You aren't wrong.

That's a LOT of stress on the lower part of the body to support all of that. Word is that because he was coming off an injury last off-season, he reported to Training Camp over 400lbs.

He's 6'9", but he really needs to get down to around 350.

so I wonder ? is Willis gonna play another down for us this year ?

Wills?

Considering how often our OLinemen get hurt, there's a chance for sure.

Not a chance in hell he's here once the season ends, though.

Maybe I'm way too old school to accept Dawand Jones' version of being a professional.  2 straight years of showing up to camp way too overweight leaving us to wonder - gee, what could possibly go wrong?  How about being vulnerable to injury once again?  Cut his ass!  OR, just keep this kind of attitude on the blind side at LT and get what we deserve - only to pretend we just don't understand why we continue to have such bad luck...

I was impressed with Minnesota's LT Aireontae Ersery. He has has/had given up one sack in 12 games this season and lined up against Penn State's Edge Rusher Abdul Carter all game. I think Carter is projected as a Top 5 Pick by some.

If this is allegedly his DREAM career and showing up way overweight as a rookie - a foot in the ass won't do the job Nicks.  You can't put a football heart/passion in an inner chest that doesn't want one.  Coming off a knee surgery to repair his knee injury - the object isn't to show up looking like you just swallowed a Volkswagon and you're ready for another snack.  If we want to upgrade desire and passion at a pretty freakin important position like LT - the overrated idea of Wills and Jones doesn't come close to the reality.  Jones' knees and ankles carrying well over 400 lbs will continue to have unforgiving realities/outcomes that won't help this team regardless of what he does in a handful of games.  This is a Josh Gordon-level tease here.  Yeah, he'll play good when he's available - but good luck waiting for the availability.  Like Tom Petty once sang, "The waiting is the hardest part."

I'm not ready to give up on him just yet.. He's at the point where he needs to decide for himself what he wants... Otherwise... there'll be someone waiting behind him in the turnstile to replace him..... But something usually happens where they go one way.. Or the other... Every player meets that fork in the road at some point in life

To be fair (now I'm thinking about the show Letterkenny) the fact that he had a leg injury at the end of his rookie season might have something to do with him coming in heavy this season.

But homeboy needs to get down to 350.

The real question is down from what?   The good news is he didn't just beat anorexia - he kicked its ass!

I was like that with Josh Gordon. - Linus

All kidding aside Nicks - he is a very talented football player as is Conklin.  On Thursday, Conklin made TJ Watt a friendlier ghost than Casper.

I just wish they weren't made of glass!
