nickers Posted December 5, 2024 Report Posted December 5, 2024 Well as an ode to Mike... I think we need to keep tradition going... So I'll start with a one pot recipe I often make at home.... And there's nothing etched in stone on how to prepare this... Your own twist is to your own discretion.. One Pot Smoked Sausage Stew: 1lb of Slovenian Smoked Sausage One or 2 cans of Stewed Tomatoes 2-3 potatoes diced or cut into chunks One medium onion diced Chopped bell pepper (optional) One clove of Garlic chopped Green Pole beans One table spoon of brown sugar Quarter tspn of Parsley Quarter tspn of dry spearmint One cup of water and small can of puree or tomato sauce Salt and pepper to taste. Slice dice and prep your sausage and veggies.. Pour some olive oil into a cooking pot.. Add Onions and Garlic and sautee until onions become translucent... Add your Stewed tomatoes,Potatoes and sausage and the pole beans.. Add Puree/Sauce and water. Add your Parsley, Dry mint and salt and pepper as needed.. And add your brown sugar... Let simmer for about 45 minutes to an hour... Let rest for about 15-20 minutes and let the flavors marry in the pot.. Pour in a bowl and enjoy... Adjust to your own liking 1 1 Quote
calfoxwc Posted December 6, 2024 Report Posted December 6, 2024 Late morning Go Browns Omelet 3 large eggs. about a 1/4 cup milk half cup of a good shredded cheddar cheese. (I always shred my own - no preservatives) a big pinch of crumbled bacon 1/3 cup of dandelion dust. (I dehydrate the leaves and grind them up in my coffee grinder) 1 tsp of garlic dust (I cut the garlic up and dehydrate it too, same way) 1 tsp of organic pea protein salt to taste. with my homemade Wild Blackberry jam. I made 37 jars of it with 15.5 lbs of wild blackberries. Seedless - I extract the seeds with my handy dandy seed extractor jobbie. and a nice mug of cowboy coffee. 1 Quote
